I use N - Iori, Chun, R2 Sagat but I’ve been thinking about dropping Chun Li and putting either Vega or Blanka in her place; maybe even putting one of those two in first and Iori in second depending on which team I’m fighting against. One of the reasons I’ve been thinking about replacing Chun Li w/ either Vega or Blanka is because I always have a hard time fighting anyone who has a strong keepaway game. Maybe putting either Vega or Blanka in her place might make things a bit easier in that regard.
i dont see whats wrong with N Vega, he seems fine to me, i use him as a battery in N and C, and well…Vega is just Vega, if he is no damage in N Groove then why is there still C Vegas? Or why is A Vega so good? His custom sucks ass…but he is good just cuz imo, he is fucking Vega >_> Pop => Claw super is pretty evil as well as his dopey Small Jump…so fast.
On another note, i find Geese alot easier to play than Rock…but both are harder to play than say Sagat. The Evac Toss setups are probably something i am not that great at…so straightforward Geese for me rofl.
Placing Vega in any other spot than battery is risky to me. In battery, I say go with N-Vega. Otherwise I wouldn’t suggest it, you’d have to play a very efficient Vega with not many openings to make up for damage that the other character he’s facing can do with one combo.
ok one thing I would kinda like to say about cvs2. The idea of a battery is really a myth. All that means is a character that doesn’t need to start with meter to do ok. Not as a setup character for #2. Meter builds retarded fast in this game so it’s not really an issue. N-vega sucks because he just really doesn’t do much damage. Trust me guys I’ve been using C-vega on my main team for years now and he isn’t that good either. A-vega has a huge advantage because he can get out of trouble situations with that custom and do a bit of damage if he needs to. with n-vega it’s really unlikely that you’re going to hit anyone with pop super just because of the texture of most matches. Plus what happens if you block a dragon punch or something. You get a slide… thats it… a little 1200 damage slide (i’m not sure exactly how much it does). N-vega is sucky relative to the fact that you could put a huge damage producer in his spot instead. IMO almost half the cast would be a better choice than n-vega and I say this with vega being my favorite character in the game.
pop super with vega also requires a charge. so that means your opponent must be dumb enough to jump into you while you’re sitting there with a charge. OR you bust out a top tier tactic like roll, pop super.
A-vega’s custom is versatile, or it chips really well. and once you have a full meter, you’re able to throw your opponent more because they are worried about the custom. C-vega has airblock and can combo into the super (ie jump rh, low short, standing jab, super OR empty jump in, low short, standing jab, super makoto style).
So im wondering about this C groove team, im just seeing a lot of dif teams and you guys opinion on them. I was wondering about C- Eagle, Cammy, R2 Sagat. This is like my main main team for C groove.
I´m starting to play Nako/Raiden/Guile-2 in N groove… but its like a shot in the dark… its good enought that team? I dont know much what to do vs top chars…
A cool K-team that seems REALLY solid is K-Hibiki, Sagat, Geese, in any order, just probally depending on matchup. A good team with those characters is SCARY good.
I was just gonna ask about them, Hibiki is my favorite…i was wondering though, does the R2 slot always have to be in the last guys thing, cuz hes the comeback character. Like this for the character positions.
Nope, we had this discussion somewhere on this thread I think. Like some people put r2 in middle, and put last char like a buff character like Sagat that can take hits…Actually, I don’t remember, later if I feel like it I’ll go through and CP it.
