Try N-groove. Iori & Morrigan are best in N. Sagat’s best groove is C but he’s pretty good in N as well (I use N-Iori, Chun, R2 Sagat). Also, watch matches w/ Buktooth (crazyasskim.com), he uses Iori & Morrigan and he wrote guides for both of them.
I’d would switch the order in the that team if I were you, put Iori in first and Morrigan in second. Iori can do good damage without using meter and Morrigan needs meter to do any decent damage.
If you’re in C you might want to try replacing Iori & Morrigan for Honda & Cammy.
is honda even worth playing anymore? I mean, everyone these days plays A-Vega/Bison/Blanka and Vega beats honda (seemingly) pretty bad. Hondas one of my favorite characters to use and I was wondering if hes even tournament worthy anymore just because of vega.
Hows todo fare against vega? His c.fp seems to either beat everything cleanly or trade in todos favor. Plus they bounce high and kinda drifty so you can dash up into RC comand grab or other things
It doesnt matter how good the character is, but how good the player is. Cheesy but true(somewhat). But yea Honda is still good. Its important to remember what your character is good at, and not what his bad match ups are. Bad matchups exist in every game. Stick to the strong points of the character.
Im wondering, can you use K like N? Like how you said it would be a dope N team with my C-Sagat Morrigan and Iori, What if i used K instead of C. I like using Rock A LOT! but is he too advanced for me? im a beginner but i like the rush down style like with Run in my groove. What is a good team for K groove. can i use rock in that one?
ive been fooling with Kyo, sagat is def in my team. How do you do kyos corner combo? with the kicks. So my team as of now is K-Kyo, Rock, R2 Sagat. R2 is the ratio/level right?
Methinks its good, a friend of mine uses the same except replace Sagat with Geese.
The kicky combo i think what you are talking about is:
close s.hk/c.mp xx qcf mk + k => dp. HK
K Groove is similar to N Groove i guess in terms of rushdown except you can guard break easier in K. But you have to know how to JD to get in. But if you fight A Sak be prepared to be cheese-ed to death with no way out. >_>
K-Rock is really good…but he is “advanced,” I guess…especially against top tiers and/or top players. Iori isn’t that bad in K, he just loses out on run/roll mixups and RC rekkas…basically, he’s playable, but NOT the same way he plays in N. Morrigan, just don’t go there. She’s decent, at best. Most of her gameplay involves tricky flying setups and “traps” – in quotes because none of her “traps” are inescapeable. Oh, and if you’re having a bad day like all Morrigan players do at some point or another…you can’t combo into the raging demon super…and there’s really no point in using her if you can’t consistently hit that on reaction.
