Here’s a quick rundown of the last UCB weekly results…

I wanna learn more about Yama’s taunt/counter. How fast does it come out? (Frames) When is it useful? What are the charateristics of this move? When does it counter? (For example, Bison does a pysho crusher with fierce and Yama does taunt/counter with jab. Will it counter?
First maybe you should learn how to do it. It’s with kick.

anyways… unless u RC the taunt… Bison’s Scissor Kick/Pyscho Crusher will always beat ur counter attack… unless he does a jab pyscho crusher… but who does that. that drill punch just isn’t quick enough to beat bison. I’m not exactly sure on the frames of animation, but it’s definitely not instant like Geese’s… try to use it against jump-ins if u kno for SURE that they are going to attack u… u can always use it against c. FP happy Blankas/Sagats and s. RK happy Cammy’s… try to stay away from using the counter up close… hmm… it won’t counter any kind of supers… o and sometimes… even if he counters someone, if the opponent is low enough the drill punch will whif =/ like when cammy does her spiral arrow. i mostly use it when i have the advantage and they get kina panicky and try to jump in… very stylish looking move too:D too bad he doesn’t say… “TOO EASY!!”
Yeah, but be careful about throwing out that counter when the opponent jumps in on you. Even the LK version has a bit of start up so against characters with fast jumps: Bison, Blanka, Vega, etc. you need to anticipate a bit. If you get too predictable with it they just might start jumping in with nothing. P and K groovers usually jump in with nothing anyway to option JD or Parry so be careful about that. Try baiting with the LK counter. Just throw it out there and sometimes people like to throw you out of it. Then just Level 3 gillotine or Drill! Just a little trick for fun. Don’t do it unless you think your mind game is good.
