Anyone down for cvs2 at MGL Wed night?
honestly, i’d rather go to sam’s place for three reasons:
- It’s free!
- There is a more homely atmosphere (as it is a home).
- We don’t get kicked out at 11
plus driving to mgl gives me the heebeegeebees ever since that accident 
i have no preference @@ I just need to know where.
The advantages of MGL is that there might be more comp, and theres two setups. However Sam’s place is good like brotherman said for other reasons.
So just let me know whats up.

I prefer my place for tonight, especially since NCR is going to be console, I could use the practice on console. In the future, I don’t have a problem with alternating sites to make things most convenient for people.

Just to give everybody else the lowdown, the plan is SVGL tomorrow in a last-ditch tuneup before NCR. Fanime cats, you should try to come out to NCR on Saturday!

Whew! After the small, but crazy-intense NCR tourney and getting my ass kicked in by great socal players the last two days, I was starting to feel a little burnout. Leave it to brothaman to bring on talk about Wednesday already. I agreed to host again if people want to come over. We could even start a little earlier this week because basketball doesn’t start up again until Thursday (go Celtics!!!).

So I played some casuals on Saturday at NCR. I was the guy using multiple grooves, usually with ken thrown in.
I’m not sure if I played with any of you guys since the people I played weren’t that good…only got around 40 minutes of play time as well.

Wednesday its either MGL or Sam’s House for us, with Friday/Saturday having SVGL or MGL either or.
Also, what Albert said…SSFIV is wayyyy too overrated.
@wepeel: Put it like that, we probably did play on Saturday then. I’m not very good. In fact, I was probably the worst player to enter the tournament. 
@someaznguy: Its kind of a down time for the arcades these days - thank super for that. Street fighter 4, still ruining everything. My best advice is to keep an eye on this thread, so you can meet us at one of the arcades. Otherwise, you may get lucky at MGL on wednesday or friday, or SVGL on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday (not a popular day, but I’ve been going lately). You may not find a crowd on those days, but usually one or two people will come over and play you if you’re on the machine.
@albert_c: yessir. Good shit on getting 4th place. Did you beat crackfiend along the way? I was trying to remember if he was the one who finished 7th. Post up anytime you want to get some cvs2 games.
Warzard: Yeah, I played crack. I use to play alot of CVS2 with him a few years back. I ran into Sanchez and beat him. Felt good cuz he’s always beat me in CVS2 socal tournies. He’s got a dope P groove. Also played Magic Don, he usually beats me in casuals. I guess playing sober in a tourney helps.
I’m down to play, although it will probably have to be at KS2.
Honestly, I haden’t played in months. I was almost ready to give up on CVS2.
But Damn, shits tight.
Did any of the rest of the South Bay CvS2 crew play at NCR? Really wanted to make it out but this dumb real life stuff keeps getting in the way. I need to make another trip out to MGL soon!

@albert_c: I played a lot of games with sanchez this weekend, he’s a real good player. I saw y’alls match at last year’s ncr, that was one of the tighter matches I saw. I’m ok with coming to keystone 2 for cvs2. Just let me know when/where to go.
@tobdawg: Yeah man cmon up, it’d be good to play again. Three of us made it to ncr - a lot of the others decided to go to fanime instead 
I got bodied, but I kept it somewhat close. Competition was insanely good for a small, 23-man tournament. Keep an eye out on getyourtournament for vids of the finals (and 2000_watts youtube for earlier rounds).
I played two rounds against Tyram at NCR and watched all of you guys play at NCR. Great matches. Mr. Warzard, I think you were the one who lent me your joystick (modded Sfac?) for a bit. Thanks.
I talked to 2000 watts about where people play since I thought the game was on a super hiatus in norcal as well. Are you guys going to CPS IV’s MGL tournament? I’ll be in the bay area again by then and entering ssfiv and I can bring a CRT and a ps2 for some casuals if you guys want.
