Does anyone here plays CvS1? I love to play this game day after day and my top tiers are:
Ken, Guile, Ryu, Akuma (always on snk groove)
Iori can be kinda usefull character once his life bar is flasing red, EX Bison and EX Mai are not bad as well.
Nakoruru, then everyone else.

True. Plus the ryu combo of death on ratio one’s, was also top tier. But i don’t know if he should be above ken.

I wish I could play agaisnt those “Nakoruru” and “Balrog” players… but I guess I will not be that lucky…
Imo Ken and Ryu are real close to each other, Ryu can connect his shin shoryuken (like Ryu1999 was saying) and make super amazing damage) and even his level 1 qcfx2+p has decent speed, on the other side ken is one of the best anti-air characters who can connect his lp DP with qcfx2+p anytime that the opponent jumps on him. Guile has an oustanding defense gameplay on this game and his pressure lp sonic boom is very usefull to force opponents to jump or block (rolling is not very usefull against a good guile on CvS1)
Also: imo akuma is a good character (even if he’s not as good Ken or Ryu)
Onother question: that top list that you guys are posting are from what you people really play on CvS1? (the reason of this question it’s because sometimes many people talk about games that they don’t really play, they post what they see from other players talking about)

Ken is way better than Ryu.
Without level 3 Ryu just plays a regular shoto.
WHile Ken could connect his supers into each other.

and i always thought ryu was better than ken slightly just because shinsho, it had too much clutch factor to dismiss it. plus hopkick was hella useful against someone like guile since you could hopkick over the sonic boom, made that match easier as opposed to almost everyone else that wasnt nako or ex rog…
Ken and Ryu and close to each other on this game (imo) but as for anti-air Ken is really better.
Imo Guile is Top tier and the best charging character (yes… better than Balrog in the way that I play)
Does any of you guys have vids or links of vids of CvS1 tournaments? I have the finals from Korea and they never selected Nakoruru or Balrog… if I had to play on arcade mode I would select Ken & Guile or Ken & Blanka & Cammy but everytime that I play vs anyone here it’s on vs mode from DC (4 vs 4) --> Ken/Guile/Ryu/Akuma (sometimes I switch Akuma with Iori or EX Mai) 
It’s well established that Nakoruru is #1 in that game.
But I always thought Guile was above EX Balrog. Am I wrong? 
its hard to say, but guile b+fierce beats everything rog has, so its hard to say cuz rog can crouch under nakos crossup and fall into his jab x 984735983745934 combos… its just a 3 way triangle there.
nah i think ken was better than ryu. U have so much time to see the jab dp connect then link it into qcbx2+roundhouse, plus ken has a really good ground game. the fact that ken can link any lvl super off of a dp added so much to his game.
Nak is undoubtedly top tier followed close by guile and rog. Blanka was mad diesel also, punch throw into super was too good.
Did the finals of CvS1 on B5 had Nakoruru and Balrog players?

#1 Ryu with his Shin Shoryuken combo he’s more balanced then Ken since u can barely and dont wanna turtle and go defensive wit Ken wit Ryu u can
I’ve never got to use Nakoruru but Blanka & Sagat dont seem as good as they are in CVS2 but are still good
:lol: , that’s funny becuase ken can turtle and just land one jab dp, and it’s ggpo. Ryu has to work get his shit, ken has so many ways to land dp into super, that’s y he’s above ryu.
All ratio 3/4 characters were garbage basically, because the system was so messed up. Likewise, ratio 1’s as a whole were way too good.
This is where they fucked up in balancing CvS2, because they strengthened ratio 3’s and weakened ratio 1’s without realizing that the changes to the system already had a huge effect. Cammy and Blanka are of course the major exceptions here…

The only real bad thing about CvS1 was the unfair arcade ratio system, this is exactly why I always play on vs mode (DC) in order to select any ratio that I want = most times is ratio 1 (4 characters vs 4 characters)
Im working with some people in order to organize a tournament and CvS1 will be there for sure 
(vs mode on DC is the most fair way to play CvS1)
Turtling wit Ken is bullcrap!
Nakoruru is top tier. But, I heard Diago won a big tourney in Japan with R2 Ryu and R2 Guile. :eek: So go figure.
