Cuphead - Run&Gun Game

I was just able to play Cuphead in coop over the internet with zero lag. Why haven’t I heard about Moonlight before?
For those like me on PC who didn’t know about it:
http://moonlight-stream.com/
Works with Android and iOS devices too!
Here’s a tutorial on how to make it work: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=662975721
I might even be able to finally play TowerFall online. I’m so happy!

Is that the horse dude with arrows? He spawns in normal mode, I didn’t know he COULDN’T spawn, I got him every time.

Moonlight is what Vanguard Princess players use to play online. It nice knowing it works with Cuphead.

Ok yeah, things get pretty damn insane quickly in this game. I just barely got by the woman in the candy castle that throws her own head at you…haha this game sounds so crazy when you actually describe some of the things that go on… “so there you are, running from a walking candy castle while a peppermint wheel rolls on the ground and you dodge this bitch’s flying head…and this is after having to deal with a cupcake dude, a candy-corn face and a walking gumball machine.

sidenote…and what an evil thing…the candy-corn—it’s the easiest part of the fight but… nobody likes candy corn. Seriously; I’ve known exactly 1 person ever that likes that bullshit.

anyway; yeah I’m on the 2nd area now… I took a break after losing constantly to the clown devil guy in the amusement park. The final phase of that is quite ridiculous

He didn’t spawn once in any of the times I played the stage to beat it or to get the mini-plane achievement, only got Taurus or Gemini. I was actually surprised because I remembered seeing him as a possible spawn in early gameplay videos.
I assume therefore there’s not much of a difference between regular and expert besides bullet speed and health. The only really different thing I noticed is that the clouds scroll backwards on the dragon stage, which actually makes phase 2 and 3 easier.

Shit gets hard af in the 2nd isle

@Raz0r absolutely. I been waiting since it was first revealed and I was not dissapointed.

Fighting this boss right now. This game is great so far.

Does that moonlight program trick the game into believing its all local or something?

The level of detail in the animation is gorgeous!

I’m hoping this continues… I’d already love to have at least 2 or 3 sequels to look forward to in the future. The character designs are amazing, man…it takes me back to when these types of cartoons were still on tv in syndication—I think part of the Looney Tunes shows usually had a few from wayyyy back in that era…it’s where I first saw things like “Bosko” and “Buddy”…or the old style “Porky & Beans” (haha pork and beans)

It allows another player to control remotely what appears on your screen in the same way a netcode would do.

this game is so addicting. it’s tough but you keep coming back for more.

i ran into a strange glitch in the second world. i went to the Shop but instead it teleported me to the Die House where the mustache guy told me i couldn’t move on yet.

That is quite the glitch, damn. The only glitch I’ve encountered is during the ghost train boss fights where the eyeballs from the first phase just teleport into existence. Like instead of them bouncing off of the ghosts hands, hell fire a bunch but then a random one will just pop up above you out of thin air.

I’m right before the casino and I can’t beat the fucking purple haired scientist robot. Where. He gets to his Dr wily form and shoots. Those little red or blue bullets I keep getting hit because they don’t contrast very well with the background. The pattern isn’t the tough part it’s seeing the damn things.
And Sally is by far the easiest boss, bar the vegetable trio which doesn’t really count. I beat her on my 2nd try…

reached isle 3 and beat a boss already…yay…confident to be able to play it trough.
really wonder how many deaths i will have at the end of the normal playtrough. :pensive:

the only critique i would give out at the moment is that the simple mode skips the last phase of the bosses
which at least for me makes it pointless.

I got the exact same glitch on Phantom Express!
Oh and isn’t Sally another fighting games reference? Her divekicks and teleport remind of Dhalsim a lot.

Simple mode doesn’t give you the soul contract either. It’s basically just a training.

btw I played yesterday through the first world in coop with Moonlight, this game is so much more fun with two players because of the parry revive mechanics. Which makes you regret again the game wasn’t delivered with integrated online coop…

yeah i know but it should include all phases for you to train them.
so its kinda pointless since you have to figure that last one out in normal mode anyway so i go always direct to it.

only 4,6% of owners on steam finished the game so far.
so when i am done i will be “special”

…when

I was stuck on the dragon for a bit and finally took him down yesterday, I just kept getting owned by that damn tail and the final form. Right now I am still working on the Honey Bee, I almost got her but she is really giving me a hard time down the final stretch.
