This is the main reason why I’m happy it’s not DLC. From a competitive standpoint it’s actually an extremely good thing. ECT 3 was way behind because the DLC wasn’t loading correctly on some machines.

Although I’m not particularly happy about the timing of UMVC3, I am still very much excited to play it. And if you didn’t think Capcom was going to release a new revision of the game, you’re only fooling yourself. And that’s a fact because my opinions are fact. puts on shades Deal with it.
DJ don’t forget that SSF4 did the same from vanilla to super. 59.99 launch release, super was 39.99 with 10 new characters and some new stages. Super to AE was 15 dollars with 4 new characters. So in total SF4 was $115.

True. But the difference is that there was nothing wrong with Vanillas net code, the features/modes/levels put into SSF4 were better, and we were not told one thing (It’s all coming in DLC) and then were completely blown off course by this new game so quickly. I’m sorry, but the tsunami excuse seems like a crock of shit to me.
Another point is It is like 5-6 months after the release date of MVC3. It was an incomplete game (Jill and Shuma were on the games disc as incomplete characters) and they halfed ass the production to milk us later on. MVC3 from a general perspective of the competitive community and casual gamers was that the game sucked ass and was half assed. It’s true, and we all know it.
Where as you look at SF4…they originally had NO intention of doing it from square one because the SF scene was basically dying and they were “hoping” to revive the scene with that title. (which they definitely did successfully.) Their intentions and actions with the SF4 series in general, make more sense.
As much as Evil Ryu and Oni were not in demand paying 15.00-20.00 (I forgot how much AE was EXACTLY) for four new characters is not bad. Five dollars a character is pretty cheap.
