This. I’m kinda tired of that mentality. Yeah people need to show up, but not just so we can support the scene. First and foremost, it should be just to meet up with and chop it up with people that share your love of fighting games. It’s not like the people that miss out don’t want to come.
Believe me, if I was 17 years old with nothing important to study for and without any idea of what I want to do with my life YET, I would be going there every chance I get from open-close and stay for as many after hours matches as I can get with anyone until morning. I’d pay 50 dollars OR MORE for that shit!!! I wish I can do that with MK9 and AE these days based on the amount of hype revolving around those games. But I just recently found out about the CT community not even a year ago and where these tournies take place at. Goddamn am I salty. XD
