Almost 99.9% positive he was being sarcastic.

Yeah definitely wasn’t serious in that post.

FAO Littledragon:

Anybody who knows me knows I wasn’t serious at all. He beat me fair and square on Sunday but it wasn’t free so I can’t complain. BTW Dhalsim needs a plaid alternate.

Next post Issac will say that dhalsim needs an ultra where he punches a hole in the wall.

too bad they did a 4 way split for first. LOL.

Lucky doesn’t really care about the money, he goes to those tournaments for the experience and casuals, if the others want to split then hey, he doesn’t really care, so long as he can play and hang out. I like that attitude.

damn im getting more predictable by the minute

Not playing for 1st place prize / title completely contradicts the idea of going to tournaments for the experience. Unless you mean the actual experience as in attending a tournament. By experience I take it as the kind you get by playing against better players.

He comes to support the community. He enjoys the experience of being put up against good competition and being near friends

Meanwhile, in another thread…

Jesus Christ… What the fuck have I done…

I suck so bad in marvel i just basically go for the experience of meeting new people and try to get better at the game. The only problem is my job=conflict with me going down to tournaments on sundays :frowning: unless i ask for the day off i won’t get it. But i’m only probably saving it for major events and i know i worked alot of hours. Probably saving my 1 week vacation for EvO. I will Probably be able to go down to gaming etc for casuals or tournament on the 2nd of october.

I have the same problem man, I work every day of the weekend so I can’t make it to any of these events. Last thing I went to was a Windsor Wednesday which was a great time just wish I had more time to go to all of the events going on.

This is a major reason as to why im considering dropping any time into competitive gaming.

Yeah the scene and games are fun etc etc but i just dont have the time to go to events and learn so why should i invest interest in learning if i simply do not have time?

Like all of my experience has come through online and training mode and maybe like 15 percent of that chunk is VS mode and like 10% tournaments, mms, gatherings. So the rest of that is watching footage, playing online, and training mode. I cant tell you how many characters ive put a decent amount of time into to learn their core basics. I consider myself competitive with every character mentioned here.

Cody, Dudley, Ibuki, Ryu, Bison, Guile, Ken, Akuma, Yang, Yun, Gen, Rog, Adon, Hawk, Cammy, Hakan, Juri, Seth, Chun…Ev Ryu.

With most of these characters i know 1-2 bnbs and 1-2 hard punishes, ultra combo set ups, aa options, frame traps, best poke options.

I think the hardest part of this game is learning the match ups. I think playing all of the characters is the easiest thing in the world. It’s learning the matc hups and knowing what beats what is what makes you good. I think that Ryu or my Rog is actually better than my ibuki overall but i just know ibukis match ups reaaallllyyy well.

On a side note: i played someone in a lobby tonight who did not have AE and we played Super. God, that game is so much better than AE. It feels slower and more polished. However, i still strongly think that Vanilla was the best in the SF4 series.

i was reading your first line man… and thats how i feel but i play these games cos i have done that since i was a kid, even tho i got mad responsabilties now, I still come out to play when i got time and if i dont have oh well next time

Are you going to Mass this weekend to see Brian w Ryan and Ger?

Is Windsor Wednesdays a casual thing or a weekly tournament? I think I finally have the time to go out to play, but i’m still really new and want to learn how to play instead of test my skills. Either way, where are they held and does it cost anything to go?

Where you from?

It’s not in CT.

ninja edit: nevermind

Give it a rest dude, those games are dead. Deal with it, move on, and stop posting about it.

I’m from South Windsor. I assumed it was in Windsor, CT given the title and the thread it’s in. So it’s pretty much just tournaments in Stratford then?
