I heard Craig can tongue out the filling in Combos without breaking the shell. Confirm/deny?

Iheard he does that while they are in his mouth and the shell never gets wet.

everytime I come on this thread, all I hear is a bunch of complaining about these games.
if you dont like marvel or st or 3rd strike or fucking pinball, dont play it, that simple. Tired of reading a bunch of babies complain about stupid shit. Learn it bc its not changing or dont play it, GET OVER IT!!!

Hahaha results?
I think it’d be best if you stick with middletown usually the tourneys for the fighting games start around 5 and the prize is money but it depends on how many ppl show up I’m actually thinking of helping this dude try to get a bigger turn out for fighting games so at least we can have some local stuff and so ppl can meet up to play offline.
Do they have casuals beforehand? If it’s a good venue, it’d be a perfect location to have tournaments since it’s so close to NY/NJ.
This is why having local comp is critical to learning any fighting game beyond a casual level. The whole concept of a mix-up or crossover is based on your fighting a human opponent. While online play is a step in the right direction, the ubiquity of input lag makes using PSN or XBL somewhat counter-productive: learning to hit-confirm is a difficult and necessary step for any player, for example, but you either can’t learn it “fighting underwater” or the timing(s) that you do learn would prove to be off in live play.
As for the stick, I feel you there. I went over budget to get my PS3 as it was. I picked up a MC FightPad b/c it was cheap and I figured that there was at least the possibility of high-level execution on it (see: Wolfkrone et al.) My issue is that I have pretty large hands, so trying to differentiate b/w a FB motion and an SRK motion on a smaller d-pad requires me to make some distinct and awkward adjustments. It doesn’t feel good, it isn’t 100% reliable, and I feel it would be a non-issue on a stick. I just need a buck-fifty to fall out of the sky.
I come from a Third Strike background. Jumping was a calculated decision, footsies were good practice, and pokes were a core part of the gameplay. Marvel is completely different on all three counts. Though I lost all of my game during my extended hiatus, my thinking – my approach – is still the same today as it was when I was playing semi-competitively (in Australia). I think I will get bodied for a long, long time before my brain clicks over to the Marvel process. Thankfully 3S Online is on the horizon and I have yet to explore Arcana Hearts 3.
If Virus and Jacope want to do some local sessions in Stamford that’d be awesome, I’d gladly help you guys out with the basics.
SSF4/MvC3 tournament this saturday is Middletown, definitely starting to look a bit more full, but still a few regulars not signed up. This will also be our last tournament on Super as the next will AE will have come out, so it might be your last chance to play through a bracket that isn’t 80% Yun’s! http://shoryuken.com/f7/ct-middletown-takashi-cup-5-21-2011-a-271770/
Exactly. I’ve been reading that bit for a while and getting extremely upset at the fact that I just spent a lot of money on equipment for streaming and that I might have to pull a damn license to stream. Remember also that it doesn’t just go for streaming as well this bill will actually affect people that host tournaments as well.
I could see it now going down to city hall. . . .
It’s good they have a shit load of tv’s(not sure if the tv’s are the one’s with out lag) and 360’s a few ps3’s anyway I think I’ll talk to the owner this sat to see if they would be willing to host tourneys for the fighting game community and yes they always have casuals before hand maybe if your willing you could help me convince him to help host tourneys
I find it ironic that when I finally sell my stick, so that I can up and get a new one that stores decide to stop carry them. Time to hunt. x_x
(I say this, because within the past month I saw a bunch of MvC2 and SF4 round 2 sticks at gamestop everywhere =( )
Edit: I like how they are like only carrying MK and WWE All stars fightsticks /facepalm.
Losing power sucks. Can’t play any vidyas!
Yeah, Raion, I haven’t been able to find one within 30 miles of us; Best Buy and Gamestop only have those lame Brawl sticks, as you mentioned. Hell, I even checked the Gamestop next to the Manhattan Mall, last Saturday, without any luck at all. The clerk looked at me like I had fourteen heads – didn’t have a fraking clue what I was talking about.
Fuck yeah dude I need some MVC 3 training man I’m ass at that game
Meh, i’m down…Whenever i’m not busy. Let me know when.
JacopeX why have a public lobby if you’re just going to kick people?
