I try to get good at MVC3 but it is such a difficult game. Probably because i’m not used to the basic strategies used in competitive play that I just don’t get (never was a fan of the other marvel vs capcom games). I wish there was some tutorial video that shows these strategies. I really do want to get better at this game. But I do agree, it’s pretty hard being good at all three of those games since they are all just so different in each aspect (Commands, specials, combos, strats, etc). I think i’ll try and practice a bit more on MVC3. But again, I think I have hit the point where I need a fight stick. -_-
What time and is there a prize? Takashi cup is also saturday, but if it’s early I’ll come through as long as I can make it in time to Middletown.

Strategy is exactly what I lack in MvC3. I can do combos all day (the hard ones, not the ones that Dont Jump claims to never drop). Its the strategy of the vs. game that i havent picked up on 100% yet. I kinda just go out there and try to make a combo video lol – which is why i get owned for free.
I played some ssf4 last night and didnt get salty. I really cant wait for AE Makoto, the gaping holes in her game in super are really what holds me back from being good with her at this point. Its just too dangerous to do anything other than st.mp in this game. When she gets some frame advantage in AE she will be gdlk. Her mixups are sooo good. I think that for the next 3 weeks im just gonna quit my social life and watch v-ryu videos all day. I suck at SSF4 right now, but im def gonna start playing it again. I just cant lose or get hit at all because thats what gets me salty in this game haha.
OH, and I dont think that I’m going to make it to any tournaments this weekend. I have no excuse, so I just blame Manny O.

random thought: its pretty ironic for someone who never blocks and always pushes buttons (lp) to say that downback is so good in super as frequently as you do.
It isn’t so much that MvC3 is a hard game, it is just that there is so much BS you have to go through while playing the game. Being consistent is harder than the game itself.
This is why you don’t get invited anywhere.
That’s because Ibuki is the worst character in the game and every other character is brain dead. Surprised you didn’t know this.

Furthermore, I think we should start a petition for capcom to publicly notify the gaming world of this truth and also recognize all ibuki players as being heroes amongst men whose opinion is valid no matter how ridiculous their ideas/rants would be considered if made by players of other characters.
its cool. im def free in marvel, if he’s content to brag about beating me in that game then good for him. Shit wont happen again though. No matter how free i am in mvc3, the fact of the matter is that I lost mostly due to my own lack of skill in that game, not because he is good at it.
oh and some real talk, DJ… the way you get better in fighting games is to play people better than you. I dont even think that your superior trolling abilities and lack of any sort of grasp on reality can come up with an argument against that. you think you’re so good at these games (spoiler alert: you’re not) but you would have to be a complete fucking moron (i know what you’re thinking, everyone besides DJ, just bear with me here) to think that the majority of the people who post in this thread are better than you are [hereforth referred to as “everyone else”]. You would have an opportunity to play a lot of [everyone else] if you werent such a know-it-all little shithead. Everyone else would invite you to play with them, and you would get better. It doesnt matter how “cool you are in person” when you’re such a cum-guzzling fuckbag in here that nobody wants to even waste their time talking to you in person. Infact, im pretty sure there are a few who would like to slap you in person rather than “get to know you” based on your idiotic fulminations in this thread. If you stfu, you would have that chance to play everyone else, get better, and possibly gain some knowledge about these games. Maybe then you could speak about them from an educated standpoint instead of whatever standpoint your moronic blathering comes from now while also providing you with some more competition. Just some food for thought.
Craig, the combos you are referring to that DJ doesn’t drop are the pretzel and nacho cheese flavored. Which are my favorite as well.

I drop those all the time. I get excited, panic, and drop tons of them as i wing them about in a mad rush to stuff them into my mouth. And thats just your balls that im talking about. You should see me with those pretzel snack things called combos, it gets ugly with those.
