I think a lot of people are more concerned about other people using it on THEM as opposed to them using it on other people.
I think Arthur is one of the more worse characters in Marvel. He can be good, but I just don’t think he is up there. There is too much team building revolved around him. Usually people team build around people that can rush down like Magneto, Zero, She Hulk, Amaterasu, Storm, or someone who needs help to get in. In other cases it is Phoenix to build the 5 bars or Dormammu so he can do chaotic flames and his QCB hyper. The thing about Dorm though is that his normals have priority and he has a teleport. Arthur needs team support to make him really viable and he eats up a lot of meter to be a threat. I only really think he’s good if hes in super armor and that in itself, is a risk because of the loss of it and the need to do 2 more hypers to get it back. If he has X Factor and Super Armor and the other person already used X Factor he can definitely rape someones shit. Just spam cross bow all day. If not, the opponent can just full screen hyper react to anything he throws on screen and beat him. Not to mention, if they use X Factor afer you…they’ll just sit there and block your projectiles all day and not take one ounce of chip damage (which is what he does) Plus, he has low health and it’s easy to kill him once you’re in. This game is highly turning into rush down and that’s a giant reason why I don’t think Dormammu and Arthur are really that good. His lvl 3 is great, but i dont like the idea of saving meter for arthur because he’s not a “combo” hungry character. You’re not going to land combos with him often because his close and mid range suck. More and more people are dropping defensive characters and gearing more towards rush down. This game is all rush down.
You can just sit full screen away from Arthur just like he does to you and whenever he throws something hyper w someone like Iron Man, Ryu, Akuma, Storm, Spencer, Magneto, Viper, Amaterasu, etc. He has enough active frames where you can hit him.
X-factor is stupid however it’s in the game. So your options are learn to deal with it, stop playing the game, or shut the fuck up.
You just don’t know when to quit and it’s sad.

I played SSF4 on 3DS today and it blew my mind. The 3D on that system is mind boggling. It is incredible. Very high def and crisp. SSF4 is insanely fun on it and feels exactly like console but i could never see myself playing it seriously or anything. Its super fun though.
Also, just got done playing mk9 with some friends for a few hours. Incredible game. Comboing into X Ray is insanely fun and i see some form of depth to the game. There are unblockables, counters, juggles, and all sorts of neat and new stuff that works.
Literally, playing mk9 made me forget about all the competitive aspects of gaming and just made me want to sit back and have some fun. Sometimes i get so warped in the competitive mindset when playing video games that i lose track of why i picked up video games in the first place. Fun. I feel like playing competitively doesn’t make the game fun anymore. It draws away from it because you’re playing to win so you’re not going to play characters you enjoy or have fun with…you’re gonna play some stupid character and do things that are dumb and lame to win. Sure, its fun winning with whatever character but when you lose and you’re trying to be lame and lose…it sucks because you’re not even having fun while trying to win…and you lost so you just played the game for absolutely no value basically.
Its like “ok, i lost and didnt have any fun.” or “meh, i lost. but i had fun!” with non compeittive you win either way because you have fun and win or you just have fun. With competitive gaming its a won and had fun being lame or i lost and was lame. Of course there are exceptions but in most cases…its pretty true.

I’m missing the point of this thread because frankly, i do not see a point.
I was going to type something but then i realized, i dont care.
So far I’ve gone to all the club sega’s here in akihabara and went to Taito Hey (Hirose Entertainment Yard). Played Evil Ryu at Club Sega and filmed it without getting kicked out lol. The problem that I’m having is I believe the hotel is throttling the connection here so I haven’t been able to put up anything new in a while, so what I’m doing is saving it to the pc and then probably going to upload it when I get back to the states. Also I went to mikado today in takudanobaba. Awesome underground arcade more so for old school games like ST,3s,Kofs,Marvel 2 and other games, but they had AE there. Got to play with yang and have got to say that I really enjoy playing the game. I actually got some video of the inside of mikado so I’ll see about “trying” to put it up soon.
Wally got your VF card but I couldn’t get a wolf one since the machine just spits out whatever card and them things are hella expensive lol.
Oh yea and for the guys asking about the maid’s that work in the cafe’s(Meido Cafe)… They are the most annoying things in akihabara ever!!! It’s cute after a while, but when you start walking around and they are at every corner it gets pretty annoying with them handing flyers to you. Plus when you ask to take a picture with them they always say no, so screw them.
Food in japan is awesome!! The izokaiya is like the best concept ever for a person that likes to hang out with friends at a bar. You negotiate your price and you can drink for free for anywhere from 2-4 hours and you have to order a set number of snacks/meals. Steak houses here are awesome as well. You order plates of different kinds of meat and you cook it on a gas grill that sits in th middle of your table.
So far so good I know when I come back home I’m going to be home sick of here, but there’s always next year. I highly recommend anyone interested in coming here to do so, because it’ll be the most fun you’ll ever have.
Sooner the details the better, I’d like to go!
