Funny how the game room finally gets something good… AFTER I graduated. I went to pick up my gf last week and saw that CvS2 was finally put in. I haven’t touched that game since Evo 2002 at UCLA. While I was waiting, I decided to play. I missed a crapload of CCs and roll cancels… lol. Go Ken/Bison/Rolento!
Anyway, good luck trying to get the credit price to 25c. Since the school rents from a distributor/renter, the school doesn’t really have much say in changing the price. Unless that particular machine makes profit or comes close to breaking even, ie. covers the cost of renting the machine, the credit price will probably not change.
Best thing to do is pick a spot in the student union and just bust out the tv, system, and joysticks. I always see the anime club people do that with their laptops and anime viewings. It’s time for you guys to do the same and resurrect the name of Street Fighter. Screw 3D! Go 2D!!!
I’d pick you up Warren, but I actually take a shuttle to campus instead of driving there, so that wouldn’t really work to well, haha.
I have been thinking about setting up a console somewhere any playing, especially since I am sure there are a hundred empty classrooms we could use, but I just never have. Its just too convenient to go to the gameroom and play. You should come in mon-thursday, I’m there at like 11:00 on wednesdays, and its pretty packed. Tuesdays, if I go in around 11:00 its pretty crowded, but even moreso at like 3:00 after I get out of class. And mondays from like 2-3 seems to be the longest coin lines.
where is this place located? It’s an arcade in school, or just by the school? Someone give me the address, ill probley roll by one day. When do people play? kinda reminds me of my days comming up at family arcade at LACC. Im excited to hear that new people are playing, im down to give you guys that thrashing lol.

Haha kinda hard to give directions since the only big landmark is the pyramid and it’s so far from the game room.
CSULB is located right off the 405 at Bellflower Blvd. Take the 405 south to bellflower (or north if you come down the 605), get off on Bellflower and go south. Eventually you will come to atherton. Make a left. Take this until you get to campus, not that hard to miss. There is a giant blue pyramid marking it. Park anywhere you can.
The student union is right in the middle of the campus. When you park in either the parking garage or the open spaces, just follow the roads towards the middle of the campus (or follow the flow of people). You’ll eventually start walking up a long walkway. At the top of this is a fountain and brotman hall.
From here, look down to your left. There will be a huge staircase going down. Take this staircase. At the bottom of the staircase, turn right. There will be 2 ATMS. Go in this door. There will be a big screen TV with like 30+ chairs here. Also there is a bowling alley, a bunch of ping pong tables, a round table pizza, and some pool tables. The arcade room isn’t hard to miss, its right next to the big screen TV.
It tends to get crowded in cycles. Whenever I go around 2:00 on mondays, it gets hella packed. I also was there last thursday from 11:00 am and had consistent competition until 2:00 pm, but I had to leave because of class, and people were still playing. On wednesdays I go at like 11:00 am after class, and last week had consistent competition until 2:00. By consistent, I mean the coin line was 3-4 coins deep the entire time at least. I think there are enough people playing now that it is an absolute rarity for me to step into the arcade and not find somebody playing.

I’m not typically there on wednesday nights, so I won’t be there if you went tonight. However, everyone came and told me how this really good guy came and beasted on them last week, and how you OCV’d everyone in sight.

oh god did he shit on all of us. i never saw anybody in the arcade, or anyone for that matter, roll cancel before. it was extremely frustrating. plus the 60 hit chun li combo or 70 hit sakura CC. that was frustrating too. but i had fun. i felt like i was actually gettin better.
