get second impact also…
i hate this place.
1)cvs2 is cramped, stick sucks, 2p fierce not working properly
2)mvc2 screen is hella dark, sticks feels like P360 but perform like ass. buttons are also a billion inches away from each other
3)anniversary edition has the newest sticks in which i cannot do DP for the life of me. sakura’s bnb combo is almost impossible unless i overrotate like a happy 1080 whore
4)cvs1(yes i played cvs1) has crappy sticks too, but better than cvs2
tekken5 seems like the only working machine. great…there’s no way to get a decent game in on any of the other game…
yeah that cvs2 machine was originally a ms. pacman machine -_- go figure
…what?
Anyway, CSUS, gameroom has always been pretty decent about fixing stuff, but it’s not at all as busy as it was a few years ago, so there’s like a 90% chance that they don’t even know about most of the stuff that’s not working.
Aniversary Edition sticks aren’t too bad, but take some getting used to… Supers don’t like to come out, however…
anyone in Sac play Guilty Gear and is worth the money to go up there by train to play ?
^^ No one plays guilty gear, that machine is empty all day long. Sorry.
Damn the sticks on 2i are so fucking good, everything works on them, everything comes out as planned all the time. It makes me to mad that the sticks on everything else is just ass.
I still cant figure out WTF is wrong with SF Anniversary edition. I extensively tested that thing today and it seems like all the motions work and there is no input lag, but for some reason shit just does not want to come out on it and supers NEVER COME OUT. NEVER. And everybody says the same thing, supers dont work, short short links dont work, moves randomly do not come out. I cant for the life of me figure out what the fuck is wrong with those sticks since they are brand new.
DPs are hard? Have you ever tried doing a super? Good luck.
yeah, i activate custom mode and mash buttons for damage. DPs are much harder
I was playing A2 yesterday and there was a guy there getting supers out pretty consistently. They do come out, mostly, but you have to do them slow. DPs work…sometimes. I was on the 1p side, and they worked fine whenever I was doing them from that direction…but when I was on the other side of the screen an doing them the other way, they didn’t want to work at all, and I had to over-correct by doing f, d/b, d/f+P Strange. I was playing A3 (speed setting is one level too slow, btw), and I DID have a problem getting custom combos to come out sometimes…it’s a really simple command, just press two buttons of the same strength, but it only worked like 80% of the time. Very strange.
Don’t play as shotos in SSF2 Turbo, by the way…the CPU will rape you.
Hey TS I think we have determined that its only the 1p side thats messed up. The 2p side seems to work fine for the most part, but we arent 100% sure. Hell, we still arent 100% sure exactly whats wrong with the 1p side, we just know for sure something about it is fucked up.
the problem is, when i see someone jump at me, i dont’ really wanna do my super motion slowly
did you see me get owned by the cpu or something?
sigh, i need to learn a2 and a3 as they are the most popular games there(other than mvc2, i’m too far behind for that game)
Yeah people are playing either A2 or A3 pretty much all day.
I used to play GGXX and so did a few people that used to frequent the game room…that small group of people has dispersed though…just like the generation of game room regulars before “mine”…i miss everyone
i’ll come thru and play cvs2, i play p chang, rock and dhalsim. i will beat you no matter what… seriously… let me know
dick juice?
You can come any friday that we play, just let me know.
i wish i could slap all of the dormant sf players in sacramento in the face.
isn’t oakland kind of far from sac?
let’s play some if your in town though.
dude i was just playing, since do i talk trash seriously. calm down.
