There are pretty much people there all day.
nick, roll by my pad instead, the comp at csus is ass.
lol sad but true
Well, it’s Finals week at CSUS (and probably ARC too). If anyone wants to get anything going, hit me up at
or
BTW, I hear an arcade opens up in Old Sac during the summers…
Really? I live downtown so thats just a walk away for me… I’ll be there daily if its true. Where is it suppose to be at and whas it called?
Anyway, where do csus people play during summer? We can get something going at my house sometime I have everything including emu’s for old school.
the arcade opens up in old sac? u mean that nickle arcade? The last time I was there all they had were shitty games.
does the csus arcade have a name? or does it just go by “csus arcade”?
does anyone here play cvs2?
The whole area is called “Games Room” but that both includes the pool hall and the arcade.
And i’m a cvs2 player.
i dropped by csus today, checked out the game room
-cvs2 is currently out of service(i hope they can get that fix soon)
-wow, they have cvs1, and 2nd impact
-mvc2 screen is really dim
-no beatmania?
-does anyone know if the arcades are owned by CSUS, or if they are owned by an outsider who’s renting the “games room” for their own arcades?
yeah the csus game room is ass. ive actually left for the bay area, and when i left there weren’t really any people worthy of mentioning as far as competition is concerned. everyone that still plays hardcore, plays hardcore at their own pad. you all know who you all are.
at any rate, the machines in CSUS are owned by Patton Vending, who have been assholes who dont take care of their shit. yeah.
Patton vending will randomly show up, if they actually get called (which they don’t).
SF Aniversary Edition machine is now at CSUS…sorta. It’s an Ultracade with all of the SF2 games on it, plus SFA1/A2/A3.
…I think I’m going to be in the CSUS newspaper…
…some reporter guy was asking me random questions about the new parking structure, and I got my picture taken…
<-- doesn’t drive
…
<— doesn’t go to CSUS
They got an ultracade now? I was just there on monday and I didnt see it. Why are they wasting their time with BS like they when they should be replacing the 2i machine with 3S and getting a new cab for CvS2. Damn they piss me off so much there.
who’s the person you’ve been going to to talk about this stuff?
patton vending? or the manger for the games room? or indirectly through their employees?
All of the above.
actually…Norma is the Game Room manager and she works for CSUS. She’s pretty much the one responsible for contacting Patton Vending about any game room related concerns. the people working the game room (i.e: the students running the registers) really can’t do anything. Norma nor the employees of the game room have to access to the cabinets, thus we have to wait for patton vending to come and fix whatever needs fixing. they come once (maybe twice) a week. the thing with the game room though, is that if your voice is heard loud enough, they actually make an attempt to give you what you want. that’s why Initial D is there, that’s why GGXX was there at one point, and that’s why we had two Soul Calibur machines at one point.
My suggestion to you if you plan on playing decent gaming at the game room, fill out those suggestion forms. do it once or twice a week, get other people to do the same, and get to know Norma. a lot of work, but it’s the only way anything will ever get done at that place. if you dont voice your concerns, they’ll think everything’s just gravy. don’t expect any action though if you fill out a suggestion form with something like, “OMFG rplace 2i with 3s plz kthxbai.” No. Be specific. Be concise. AND DONT USE ABBREVIATIONS. we actually had some guy fill out a suggestion form asking for BM IIDX and Para para referring to each as abbreviations. Norma replied to the message board, “If I knew what these were, I would look into it.”
I just jizzed my pants.
Yo does anybody that goes to CSUS have any random push-buttons laying around that I can have? I need a few and dont feel like ordering them online.
there’s already an alpha2 and alpha 3 cabinet over there though…destroys the purpose.
so they actually put A2 back? im surprised…
No A2 has been gone for about 2 semesters already. But we did have A3. Now they have the A3 machine off and the SF Anniversary running. I’m going to try to buy the A3 board off the guys from patton vending.
