stylish linework there, but i do agree it would look better if he was looking towards the viewer/maybe had a more sly expression on his face?

nice colors Vega. I like the sheen on the costume. High lights on boobs should be bigger a lighter since light is concentrated over a bigger area.

it’s been a while since I last posted (well, posted anything that wasn’t mod-related in nature), been busy but I’m getting down to try to catch up with stuff again. Currently working on my Testament pic, hope to get it done soon :wink:

thx for the kinda words on the Faust pic, too.

some long overdue comments:

May vs Faust is hilarious, Slayer is cool.
Millia strangling Venom is really nice, like the expression on her face – plus she’s doing the Vader Force choke hand action thing :slight_smile:
Your MS Paint works are really nicely done, too.

atmosphere & mood in the Faust pic is great, really like what you’ve done with it.
Testament pic looks like something out of a heavy metal CD case design – looks good.
Purple I-No pic works well, love the heavy shadows on Slayer. Hairline could be lower though.

Judgment’s hair looks like DBZ character.

DFist:
colours on Faust & Testament are really good.
Faust – take a look at his shoulders, his left shoulder seems to be more sloped than his right, esp when you consider that his collar seems to be straight. Also there’s this unusual kink in his torso which doesn’t correspond to any major joint.
Testament’s face looks a tad short, either that or you were trying to draw him with his chin down – in which case we shouldn’t be able to see his nostrils.
final I-No pic looks good. Difficult pose to do, btw.
Slayer on a couch looks good, but the arm of the couch needs to be higher for him to look comfortable.

Star:
Faust looks so cute in that pic! thumbs up

Apathy:
as already mentioned, Sol’s neck is a tad long.
Beyond that the pic is really nice. Looking forward to your next pic.

sweet slayer! Looks like he got dumped sitting on that big couch all by himself.
I would’ve liked to see some darker darks and more use of the white since you’re on that neutral paper.

Thanks homey. I didn’t know about the sf3 sprites download page. The character select screen didn’t have all the sprites, so when someone linked the sprite pack d/l page I was ready to rock.

Hot Testament, Rook. You captured his skintone (or lack there of) really well. The skull looks wicked as well. One thing I would do is make his head straight so he’s looking directly at us. The pose would read much stronger imo.

Vega-X: I like the mood in the Slayer piece. Looks like he’s out for blood.

Tea: Sexy I-no. I like the style in this. The hat looks kinda like it’s being squeezed by the border which I assume was because you ran out of room on the paper. The guitar is cutting in a little tooooo deep also :stuck_out_tongue:

Does anyone else notice how many belt buckles there are in Guilty Gear? Every character seems to be sporting a good half-dozen. I’ve lost count how many I’ve drawn since this project started.

Always good to see more Rook as well. I don’t agree with Dreaded though, I like his posture as-is. There’s a nice flow from Testament looking at the skull which is looking at the viewer the way it is now.

Unfinished Potemkin this week for me, no time to develop it beyond a breakdown.

Wow that is a nice silhouette Rook. I can totally read every single shape at first glance. Only thing I see is to give her green backlighting instead of the red one since the bg is green. Overall this and your “secret” entry is the best you’ve done. Think I like the colors in this one more though.

The head on Testament could go either way haha. Just my preference.

That is a hot I-no, Rook. The green BG goes very well with the reds and blues. Hat looks a little off. Even though the front of the rim is suppose to dip down, I think you can show more underside so the angle is clearer. Your hands look great too. The sign of a true champ.
