sarda…
-learn to mash teleport during geif’s block strings. He has no way to punish your teleport. You’ll avoid his command throw block string antics by doing that. srk during a block string will work sometimes too but is risky while teleport is not.
-learn to demon his lariats. They are highly punishable which is why you don’t see good players use them against the good shotos (sorry ken…).
-you HAVE to punish hands. You just HAVE to. At the very least you should be mashing down back lp after you start to block it to at least guaranteed something off a c.lp.
-I won’t talk about combo dropping or anything since u said there was a lag issue. but i will say that if you are doing the loop on geif you have to do broken looping slightly differently. Either neutral jump instead of block, backwards jump air FB, or block/wait if you are visibly out of lp spd range. Generally the jumps are the better choice.
-no idea why though you get a JUMP in the middle of a loop… There is no button command that would even hint at having a reason to jump forward. Only thing I can think of is if you botched a demon flip really badly because you missed your lp (the easier part…) but there is no reason to do a demon flip off a loop…lol.
-the moment you see geif jump on your wake-up just teleport for the most part or srk. like at 3:18 in the first match. You should have teleported or SRK. You even had meter to safe srk. Don’t be afraid to use meter on safe srk against geif. Using random srk at times, since it beats throws, works well on geif ( I say random meaning non-combo or AA).
-tiger your fb more often. You give him too much room to get under your fb a lot of the time.
-use more ground based fb. JUST air fb means you are NEVER going to be anti-airing him. mix it up a little and the geif will never be able to read you and get in easily.
- you missed your s.lp a LOT. I’m not 100% sure its lag related either as I don’t even tend to have problems with that part of the loop in a 2-3 bar connection online (and my current internet suck(s/ed). You are probably just getting stressed so you aren’t keeping your rhythm.
-forward teleport TOWARDS someone is suicide against anyone halfway decent. To do so means you are either flicking the king or you think your opponent is a tard.
-i assume you started to give up on the loop. Otherwise every time you land a c.lp/c.lk you can loop.
-you didn’t poke very often with hk. I think if you had you wouldn’t have been running as often. Just make sure you aren’t whiffing the first kick usually or they’ll start to counter grab you if they are good.
-unless I’m being forgetful due to turkey overload… c.lp doesn’t combo into a fb… you kept tryin to do that for some reason. lag or execution…either way.
-i don’t think you really know when to use demon in this match-up. GO LEARN! for starters… there is no reason not to always buffer in lp after you starta sweep when you have meter. And to be safe you can do it at all times if you have an issue with recognizing when you have ultra or not. And you straight up lost matches because you didn’t demon his lariats. The guy wasn’t even missing up PPP and KKK…
-too much backing up in general. A little more forward movement would mean you wouldn’t be in the corner so quick every single round. part of that is learning to srk after a standing fb and not being afraid to do it if you see you are at the right range where geif is stuck blocking or jumping. hk helps too.
-don’t use ex demon flip so much. unless the geif has bad reaction time it shouldn’t be the difference between landing a demon flip on him or not.
-your not doing enough on wake-up. Hell… you can even use cross-tatsu and normal jump ins on geif once you get them to not just spam lariat on wake-up.
-did you know… that if you press lp and lk at the same time during a demon flip that you can grab? lol. If the geif is just blocking all day long start using the throw more often.
edit: and maybe i missed something or the “insane execution” was in the later matches for west. But the two chun matches I could handle watching looked very… online-eeeeeee… lol.
