Haha. Any underraverage player knows you just need to jump to avoid a raging demon. Only pitiful noobs would try to block it.
If you really want to improve in SSF4. Then I suggest you start by completing Akuma’s Trials.
If that’s done already, then go on youtube and watch some high level matches of great Akuma players. (like Tokido vs Momochi, Gamerbee, Ricky Ortis, Sabin, Marn, Mike Ross, Mago, Aqua, Justin Wong, or Daigo).
Then once you’ve seen what Akuma is really capable of, you should try and learn for yourself. So watch video tutorials of Akuma like these:

Moreover, watch tutorials about the SSF4 mechanics in general. I suggest you subscribe to Vesper Arcade: He covers pretty much everything from the very basics to very advanced kara canceling and option selects.
Also look at Akuma’s frame data to see what are your best tools. And if you’re really serious about getting better, then you’ll have to look at a lot of other characters frame data to understand your more difficult matchups.
But that’s just the easy part. Next you’re going to have to spend some time in training mode and practice your matchups and what you’ve learned. Train your footsies, reaction and execution, which are probably the most important things in SSF4.
And if all of that is too complicated for you, then you probably should give MvC3 a try! Much easier to win in that game. Just pick that OP character with longest range and mash random buttons and you might beat better players with some luck.
