@ Venom- yeah i hear u bruh, i dont get that much time on streets as i used too thats no excuse but i have altered alot of my fighting techniques, i will reveal more in the coming weeks, i make it a must to include l/DF, grab, i also mix in taps nd grabs, i ws fully against the use of these moves before but i can see how they can get you out of some tricky situations…

If you are going to sit there and tell me that doing Ultra 1 when someone is on the GROUND catches people enough to make it a viable strategy, then you need to get your head checked.

Then what you’re talking about is not a “strategy”, it’s a gimmicky setup. Not unlike a reset DF or fs. HK on wakeup into Super… But make no mistake, it’s not a strategy. By that I mean that it’s not something you SHOULD be counting on during your matches. It’ll catch n00bs off guard. It’ll maybe catch good players off guard if there’s lag (maybe). But more often than not you’ll just get punished if you rely on these tactics.

If you’re into that, then you should pay attention to people that do it better, like JR Rodriguez (PIKACHUAKUMA): he has so many setups, his opponents often get conditioned into getting demoned. From watching your matches (and this is not a dis or anything), you just do a lot of random stuff that lands, mainly because your opponents don’t know what they’re doing… Let alone what you’re doing either.

As for your gimmick above, if your opponent holds up on wakeup or mashes reversal DP, it wouldn’t land.

That lk tatsu>U1 setup sounds horrible. Anyone who actually plays the game will just hold “up” the moment there’s the startup animation freeze.

Nah that don’t work round. U1 can’t connect that way. No matter how early/late you time it. Neutral jumping even on a late reaction to U1 is 100% get outta jail free. You trippin or trollin kid.

Actually, I believe that would be the ONLY time this would work. The opponent HAS to hold up during wakeup for it to miss. If he’s mashing stuff, then he tries to hold up after/during the flash, it’s over (unless you started your demon a few frames before he’s in standing frames).

Remember, Akuma’s Demon Super is a 0 frame grab meaning that at point blank range, the opponent has to have input something BEFORE the flash to escape it or he has to be in his “invincible” frames.

I thought he was referring to Ultra Demon (5f iirc), and even then, he’s probably activating it way before you’re in “grabbable” state.

Umh… I guess you’re right. I was assuming he was talking about Super Demon, not ultra Ultra 1 which is 4 frames (5??) so there’s no way in hell he could land that even if the opponent holds up after the Ultra startup… I just didn’t think he’d be THAT obtuse. :rofl:

In my defense, I also lose to a lot of scrubs online because I underestimate their level of stupidity: “Nah… He couldn’t possibly try that stupid shit ag… Oh! Well I guess he did!!”

So umh… Yeah.

No shame in losing online… it’s almost like playing a different game when you play in laggy connections lol.

Ever since I found a buddy to play offline with I couldn’t care less about my BPs. And even if I still played online, I got into Marvel lol.

BP is meaningless, I got over 10k and I still suck with Akuma

Don’t run from Cammy. If you notice you did very well when you held your ground. When you started running that’s when it went bad. Also never attack Cammy’s wake up unless it’s a safe jump/palm/anti cannon spike setup. You need to setup your pressure on her to be successful. If you don’t have a setup continue with footsies and zoning. Cammy is probably the best character in the game for punishing risks. She is very similar to Vanilla Sagat in that her damage output is so high there is almost no reason for her not to chance a punish on a risk or 50/50.

Since we don’t have a GGs thread … GG last night. :wink:

Advice for both of us; stay on the ground. You’ll be a lot more solid if you do that.
