It is very nice. A new player could learn alot from this and there are some stuff that impressed me/havent noticed them before, so definitelly a vid i enjoyed!
Scenes i liked in particular:
1)cross up air tatsu, rh reset to Demon.
2)U1 vs Vega’s U2, slaaaaaa and his mask drops, funny
IT DOESNT MATTER IF THE ROCK COUNTS TO 3!! erm…That tripple window U1 was really awesome!
4)S-S-Stylish credits!!
The only thing i was a bit dissapointed about is that there wasnt any air hado combos, giveeeee! Nice work mate
I am starting to find that 90% of the Guys on the internet don’t have a clue how to play against Akuma. This is the third guy with 3200+ PP that I just flat out destroyed. I don’t believe the match up is in Akuma’s favor either because I have played some rather good Guys as well.
That and c.MK with U1 as an option owns his wake up game. Unless he has U2 he can’t do anything about it. The only thing I need to figure out is what to do after a block besides Fireball FADC.
This is perfect for me right now. I’m relatively new to the game, and I’m at a point in my development where I am able to punish obvious mistakes with BnB, but that only works up until 1000 PP. As soon as my PP crest 1000, opponents don’t make the same kinds of exploitable mistakes, and I am unable to recognize openings. Worse than that, I am almost always over-committed and in the wrong place because I didn’t recognize their bait.
Anyway, I will apply this training technique exclusively over the next week. I am certain I will be a better player because of it. Thanks.
-edit-
Few online are even playing the same game, so it’s not as easy as I thought it would be to apply this.

Seems we were both trying to better our ground game in our mirror match

Wellp, that Balrog match was pretty bad. I mean you could Demon those TAPS every time. I could see them coming a mile away. DP them at the least. Besides that I think you have to play a little more patient with that matchup. A player like that (really pretty bad) will get desperate to headbutt if your defense is on point. And when he does, punishment time.
Man thats what I was trying to do. I’ve never sat in Training Mode to get the timing down and I dont fight Rogs too often but if ya noticed I started trying to bait it out and by the time it came my fingers just wouldnt budge
just jab the TAPs. You can just throw them out there in case it whiffs, and when you counter-hit his TAP you can combo the jab to sweep, setting up another oki situation.
It happens. I just gave you all this advice, and I played a Rog today and my fingers just wouldnt move as well. My reactions were too slow. So I feel you.
To be honest, I really gotta learn what on Rog is punishable. I always just block, block, block. I doubt that every time they are using lp Dash Straight, and I didn’t know SRK can beat out TAP. Just wait long enough for iFrames to protect me right?
c.mk is really helpful in that matchup. you can OS a shoryuken with it to defeat all TAPs, and you can OS demon when you have it.
one of my dirtiest tricks is to constantly sweep to try and bait them to use the EX armor, when they do that input the demon. a helpful lil trick for all you newcomers is to, when you have demon, double tap LP during a sweep, so in case they focus it or use armor you can very quickly input the rest of the demon and catch them.
Ok first few things I saw. Punish those dash punches better. You will find the Rog match up gets exponentially easier if you do that. If you block an overhead rush punish it. You can c.MP > BnB on reaction to blocking it. Go into training and practice it some, it helps a ton at keeping Rog honest. A harder one to punish is the armor breaking rush, but you can s.LP > c.HK. The rule with Balrog is the further across the screen he had to go to land the punch the more punishable it is. Exception is EX, but those you can intercept easily with a grab. c.MK OS SRK also is great for intercepting just about every dash punch.
Second I would say to use c.HK as a finisher more often. Rog is one of the easiest to pressure when he wakes up so you should be abusing this fact as often as possible.
Third your wake up pressure needs work. I saw too many missed pressures and poorly timed palms.
that hurt to watch, he got hit by so many sweeps that weren’t whiff punishes or option selects. also, u2 for rog. same reason your super missed is the same reason AA demon doesn’t work on him. get a hardknockdown and OS u2 with palm to beat pretty much everything but block.
Well, backwards teleport xx U2 will also beat his EX punches and TAPs, as well as his regular dash punches. It is weaker than U1 but it is safer and more confirm-able. Plus, punishing jab dash straights with tele xx U2 looks hella sick.
