This was a close match against a good Ibuki. In retrospect I should have won, but made a small mistake at the end. I forgot my usually protocol of using a FA when Ibuki whiffs her Kazagiri.
Was that setup at 0:58 deliberate? I’ve NEVER seen j.FP cross up like that before…

West just explained it. Her command dash has no invincibility so when she tried to use it to escape she got nailed by the j.HP and her momentum carried her out. Ibuki’s one major flaw is that her wake up options just flat out suck. She is completely free on wake up.
What about her EX Kazagiri on wakeup?
Hella unsafe on block, even with the kunai throw. And even then it’s a horrible DP that only hits people jumping in at certain angles
i need a critique about my gameplay. i especially need advice about the akuma mirror match and versus guile.

It is a 5 frame start up that is easily safe jumped. It loses to a lot of jumping attacks even on reversal. Overall it can work, but it is easily neutralized. I play Ibuki as a secondary and generally you have to learn how to block or else you will die quickly.
woo, just took third in a ranbat. was playing on an octogate for the first time so I dropped a lot of stuff though. i’ll post videos in a weeshee bit when they come up. yay for me
alright so i now have a nother replay up. it was a ranked match against a fairly decent guile fighter (ranked match) i may have gotten his name wrong. but please tell me what i can improve on. and yeah my ultra is still jacked up this was taken like…a month ago so forgive my crappy playing.

learn about hit confirming. learn what a block string is. there is no point in doing srk at the end of a blockstring… theres plenty of other real noob shit that you will iron out of your game naturally if you play good people consistently.
im sure i just never get the time to practice. what with this weird ass night shift i have.

Holy crap! That Guile player was absolute trash!! Getting caught by a demon after getting hit?!?? 
There are way better players out there for you to practice on. I’m nowhere close to being good, but I have my moments of being solid. And they always come when I’m doing things right in both execution and planning.
You seem fond of doing the Raging Demon, but you telegraph it by inputing it naked like that (jab, jab, back and lk give you away each time). Learn how to buffer it into another move (called a “kara”), like forward MP (overhead) or st. HP. Go watch some LordofUltima vids of his matches against WestAB and CannedHedgeHogs to get a feel for what an Akuma match flow is like. You need to get your BnB’s down. I’d also tell you to go and read up on matchups to learn what you need to do against certain characters. The Guile matchup is all about you getting that untechable knockdown and then sticking to him like white on rice and a glass of of milk on a paper plate in a snowstorm!! Against a good Guile, if you can’t get the vortex going, you’re as good as dead. This guy wasn’t even “mediocre” (let alone decent) which is why you got away with a win without doing any of the things Akuma is supposed to do agasint Guile.
Find the time to play against some good comp! There’re a few Akuma’s here who regularly play online on XBL like CLxJames who could show you the way.
Never do a FA next to Guile on his wake up. Good Guile players will FK or Ultra you. It’s fine to maybe bait with a FA and backdash to get them to make a? move, but there are much better things you could? be doing as he wakes up
Don’t sit there for 5 seconds straight trying to input the Demon over and over

Work on your hit confirms and combos. I saw you land a few j.HK and you followed it up with… whiffed cr.LP xx lp.SRK? A cr.MP would have reached and allowed you to continue your combo, and even one j.HK was properly spaced to be followed up with a f.HK (ie: big damage)
Don’t mash out SRK’s in your opponents block strings. Better opponents will get hit once and then start to bait and punish them
Stop letting Guile get up for free. hk.Tatsu is not what you should be doing on his wake up

I am now going to combine as many fights as I can into the new YT 15 minute limit. This means that if I have multiple matches you can few one after another without having to sift through a bunch of different videos. Also added a win counter and some transitions.
