I actually laughed at a gief I played yesterday. I kept going Flip > Dive kick > HP > Flip on him. Since he didn’t know how to properly time the lariet he got punished the first few times and then started to block from there on. I was able to chip him to death by looping that.
Man did I get one pissed off message after that round. It was funny beyond belief.
HAHA yeah i can see that happening. the same Geif i posted about (the one i double perfected) green handed me right off the back but i dashed back and supered him right in his face. it was so epic i just saw it coming from a mile away and all i heard was cursing over his mic. so funny!

You should come out to the “bootcamp” thing one of these Thursdays if you can make it. It’s at AZ’s most known Gief’s (Dorion) place. There was a decent crew from Tucson that came out this past Thursday. Its every Thursday. There’s hella people there to help you level up, but you gotta RSVP.
Only things that really stood out to me were the amount of throws that guy landed on you without techs and you were punishing dizzy with focus attacks. So tech moar (easier said than done, I know :p), and start some jHK/jHP->HP-BnB on those dizzies
Other than that there were some times when you really got into the pressure game and had a few nice mixups go your way which was nice to watch, so keep it up!

when jumping back don’t do air hado if opponent is closo to you, like @3.21

u do a lot of ex air hado, save your meter for heavy damage, exSRK and fadc are many important in akuma’s game

yeah i mentioned the punish mistakes in the video description, i screw up a couple good punishes in that round and eat a huge bait at the end of round 4. i screw up that last lp srk fadc hp shaku at the end of the video too.
a couple of problems i have (apart from consistency with links) are too much focusing and too many air fireballs, and therefore jumping. bad habits
don’t do shaku? i dont get this one though… also i very rarely use ex srk either, maybe just for random escapes… the one in the video was an accident. am i missing something about its importance?

I definitely saw some improvements from this video from your last one. a couple things I noticed.
Learn the closest angle you can successfully use tatsu crossups on. You tried like 4 or 5 in a row at the start of the match, and I think only 1 worked. You were too far away and gave your opponent too much time to react to block. If you learn the closest angle it can be very deceiving, and the chances of your opponent blocking wrong are better. Also I think you put the input in too late. That’s why it would whiff most of the time.
3 punch shaku fireballs are generally a bad idea in my opinion. Your opponent can easily dodge those, and close the gap in on you quickly.
anti-air demon on rufus is tricky to pull off. His dive kicks will usually beat out your demon, or just put him at a weird angle for it to work. The best bet against this match up is just to dragon punch that shit all day. Also, try to just get rid of focus anti airs completely. That can be real easy to punish. DP is safest bet.
at 4:15 you made a bad choice of teleporting haha. This may have been a mindless mistake, but Rufus was sitting at a good position to punish that. In that situation, just wait. Maybe rufus would have tried to dive kick you, which you could have safely gotten away from. Or take a step or 2 foward and block. Patience is the key when you are in the corner.
I think ex air fireballs are best used for pressure. Try using them only when you are moving toward your opponent. if you are jumping back, or neutral jumping often times it is a waste.
I liked your demon flip set ups though.
First time I ever commented on anyones videos. There are so many right ways to play Akuma, so just keep that in mind.
Over all though things seems to be coming together well mate.
Watch those x-up tatsus against Rufus. A good Rufus can punish them with EX snake strike for massive damage if they are not placed properly which was the case for many of your attempts. Evidently this opponent wasn’t aware of this. Keep that in mind.
Personally, I’m loathing Rufus lately. I’ve encountered a really strong Rufus player recently and I’m really out of practice with the match-up. j.hk into EX snake strike for 1/3 health? Gnawsome. Its great to see that attack has been nerfed in Super. It really chews Akuma out.
