Creed (New Rocky saga)

I hope there is an end credit scene with Rocky pissing on Tommy Gunn’s grave.

To be fair Paulie is a lot smarter than Rocky, probably took less savage gene haymakers to the face as well. That clip of him still in the meat locker as a 70 year old doing art tho.

I hope Paulie is in this movie. His racism in Rocky 3 was pretty funny

Yeah Pauli was mad racist though, lol.

Paulie ruined rocky’s life

Rocky was supposed to die in part V, the producers didn’t allow that to happen. They also insisted on other changes as well. Still it is entertaining even if it has its faults.

As for this film, it may be good or bad. However one thing is guaranteed, there will be an kickass montage. Rocky has the best montages (part IV has the single greatest in movie history IMO).

Rocky being dead wouldn’t have prevented Rocky being in any sequels. Radioactive spillage, illegal Russian zombie tests, Alien experiments or a boxing match with Our Lord Thou Art In Heaven. Any excuse at all. And I would have watched it.

I can’t watch Michael B Jordan act…

Spoiler

Too many Wire feels :’(

Duke sweating more than Rocky in that montage in -50C Siberia, never really understood that shit.

He was sweating bullets at that all black gym.

Paulie set him up with his sister… And helped him train in the first place

Paulie isnt racist though, hes a bit ignorant but generally on point. Plus hes a fat alcoholic with low self esteem that pimped out his sister to an Italian retard in the hope of landing a job as a loansharks muscle. Dude got it rough.

Yo in Rocky why was Duke just sitting in the office with his shirt all open and shit. Duke stay sweatin and be about to cry in all of his movies. He was losing his mind when Apollo was getting rekt by Drago.

Though I love Rocky 3 for the way Duke and Apollo started training him. My old boxing gym in Cincinnati is a mix of Apollo’s and Rocky’s gym.

I kinda just thought thats how black dudes hang out in the office but yea now I think about it now thats kinda fucked up. Duke still still one of the best characters though, hes pretty unsung imo but Rocky needed that guy as much as Mick.

There’s a reason why Duke has been the only character in the series other than Rocky and Paulie to appear in every single movie (this one notwithstanding).

sweet Jesus, Rocky III was about 5 things…Thunderlips, Clubber fucking Lang, Mick dying, Apollo and Crew training Rock, and ‘curing’ Paulie of his racism. Paulie’s racism is extraordinary in all the rocky movies, although I’m sure you wouldn’t understand what racism even is, would you of all people, Crucades, lol?

Ah stfu Sov we all know that if Paulie got to known those guy they would be friends, you take any decent person and put him in a room full of thugs and you expect em to just click? Fuck outta here.

Duke is the truth and he knows boxing. What would be really cool if he had a son or grandson that was a trainer as well. Or you could always get Ed Romeo (Eamon Walker) from Lights Out to be his trainer.

Duke isn’t in this movie? That’s fucked up.

Creed is the best movie of 2015. Better than Star Wars. I just saw this on a 200" movie theater screen. Worth the $8 ticket and so much more.

I’ll probably see this like 9289423 times then buy the bluray 98234334 more times. If your a Rocky fan you HAVE to see this.

Yeah, I just got to see it myself.

If nothing else, thank god that Michael B. Jordan got to do work in a competent movie. If the Shitastic Four did its best to try and destroy his career after Chronicle, this pretty much saved it and reminded people why he got put on the map to begin with.

And in an almost similar beat to the Force Awakens, you have a movie that takes EXTREMELY similar story beats from a previous classic in the franchise and makes them its own.

The original stuff is pretty hard though. I mean it goes through really heavy introspective on multiple things. It feels darker and yet lighter than Balboa, and that’s all on the strength of the actors.
