CPS3 Broken!!!

Has he ever responded? It seems like with such a demand he’d humor them just a little…

He speaks English as well. In this thread you can suggest new features for the CPS3 emulator.

He hasn’t posted anything lately, but Wesker is kind of his spokesman and said a few days ago that the new version will bring a surprise (which will probably be online, but who knows).

Now that you guys mention it, I’m sure he’s already gotten all the bothering he needs from other people when it comes to netplay. But looks like I’ll have to mention the other stuff myself because I doubt anyone else cares about that.

I downloaded Nebula and apparently you can do the same thing I did with the MAME .png scanline stuff earlier. Just copy and paste the .dll video plugins, and put them into the CPS3 emu’s plugin folder and some of them will appear in the toolbar’s filter menu. Problem is, they’re useless because they seem to be glitchy or something. Weird green things all over the screen and odd scaling, but it’s pretty funny to watch cel-shaded 3S running at a terrible frame rate.

Damn, unfiltered 75% SL doesn’t seem to exist anywhere. There are all these other 75% variations, and unfiltered 50%, but no 75%. Sucks how he skipped the exact one I want. :bluu:

How would one rip a BG with mame or nebula? Can you hide/show layers with Mame? I want to get one BG but it looks impossible by the way I’m doing it.

Figured I’d also give Mario (the character) a shot for my first try putting a modified palette into the game. You can get some amazing results because of the colour depth, since there are so many palettes. It does make it difficult and tedious, but the results are nice. Can’t wait to try more.

Edit: edited it to be more like mario. the subtler colours don’t stand out too much in the game like the other one did.

I can run NullDC and Chankast on my pussy little laptop.

I just wish there was a no background patch for MvC2 and CvS2. It handles the training mode stages smooth as silk. But it starts to slow down on the more complex 3D backgrounds

Because they’re stupid, and/or lazy.

I’m not switching because no one else is switching. I want the version that plays with as many people as possible. If they want people to use the newest version they should make it compatible with the old ones.

This might be a stupid question, but is there some way to make the patched colours appear for both players on kaillera? I noticed that it comes up just fine for me, but my opponent didn’t see it. Will it always be that way no matter what? And yes I’m aware of the ethical issues that arise when it comes to using customized colours against other people, but I at least want to know whether or not it’s possible.

I guess it is possible if both of you use the same ROMs and Non-Volatile RAM files.

He’d have to have the same files you altered to get the colors.

Will you also add misc objects like tengu stone floating toys and rocks or oro’s turtle, or are you done now?.. Should I understand you’re gonna enable backgroung paletting as well?

EDIT ::: and for the guys just above my post, yes, if your oppenent has patched his file 51 the same way, he will see your palette. I tried it with a friend.

I’d rather take the all the projectiles and other stuff like dudley’s car as a request because it’s too many to separate and I’m trying not to spend so much time on it (I’m slow compared to other programmers). I will add the stones though and whats Oro’s turtle??

I was thinking about this and wondered if there is a way to send it through kaillera… I don’t see it happening especially since ddemame is closed source. =( With an external program it would be possible but looks like it would be tedious.

ok, no problem I can understand that.
Oro’s turtle is just like dudley’s car, an object that appears in two of his winposes
a)he just sits there, looking at a small turtle walking towards him
b)he looks all around him very fast and very slowly the turtle comes from in his back, almost surprising him as he turns a last time to stare deeply at it.

Basically, that’s just a joke, you don’t have to change that except if you like extra work :wink:
And yes, it would be cool to change oro’s stones/toys colours as they are pretty … mmm… ugly (well it’s true for the robot toys at least) but, really, I can live without it. It’s up to you =).

To anyone interested, yes, a palettes thread would be nice, I wouldn’t mind sharing mine and getting a few nice ones I saw.
