Fixed crashing in sfiii3 when Ken finishes Makoto with neutral throw (kicks). It’s
actually a bug in the game (fixed in sfiii3a). In the real board it would cause an address
error (misaligned jump) and would reset the machine due to watchdog. In the emu it will just
freeze the game because there is not watchdog, just hit F3 to restart the game.
I heard elsami was not going to put any sort of net-play into is CPS3 emulator? And I’m not looking forward to any sort of netplay implementation from him either because…it will just be as good as the netplay in nebula and we all know how good/popular that is.
quick question…which emulator do we stick with then…cuz idk if its just me but i cant save my control configuration on the new update of mame…i configure it then i exit out…but when i play the game again it has a different configuration? so which one u1 or u2?
that program is hard to use to change pallets, and quite honestly i can’t get it to work
i suggest making a tutorial on how to use it, I HIGHLY SUGGEST adding a color pallet like photoshop has so you can just select the color yourself that way instead of needing to know the RGB numbers which 99% of people even who are into those things wont know.
^no that silly and will be the same causing more hassel for the programmer, even if the colours were spoon fed to the user he still wont know the end result quality,
If you know what you want then you will obviously screen cap your character in photoshop and adjust its color balance for the best outfit and colorpick the rgb from there
EVEN if the program had a color picker you will still end up with a jumbled up odd looking pallette
it works ONLINE, not sure if this is due the fact people cant use the sf3 rom direct since it rewrites the game and takes 30min or so . But the no cd still makes use of the original ? off or online.
ANYWAY obviously online the opponent will not see the color change as you own the changed file.
This is how u get it to work
-extract the file 51 from your zip
-Open the program then FILE > load ROM [select 51]
-Select your character select the colour and change the RGB value*
-Not sure if u need to press APPLY? But to save changes FILE>PATCH ROM
-Drag 51 back into your zip
test it online?
*Personally id take a normal screen cap into photoshop, change the colorbalance/hue and make note of the rgb values using color picker for specific results.
Theres also loading ACT option there, not sure if mugen made act files will work here, but great work all the same**
heres quick test one for chun, shocking pink.
youre gonna need to use SELECT > COLORRANGE in photoshop to highlight the areas one color covers then paint over it, when done use screen cap of original along side pallette in the program so u know what to change, RGB values match up, give or take a few numbers.
only efficient way i can see at the mo.
I really didn’t know if it was safe to let you guys know about how to make it work with nebula but just extract your zip file into it’s folder. Instead of roms/sfiii3.zip, extract it into roms/sfiii3/.
It should be very easy to add a color picker like window’s swatch so I’ll get on that later today. Then I’ll look for the after-image on ex’s and supers.
The main idea right now is to select (multiple) the appropriate colors on the palette, and modify the HSL to your liking. I know it’s hard to see and select without a preview but the way that I thought 100% sure would work is not implementing too well.
