To you they might look like they are taking it seriously, to them they are having fun.

Man, I know I have fun when I get so into a game that I’d rather starve myself than lose.

I’d rather lose than turtle or run away.

Death before dishonour.

And ppl who taunt after finally winning a round when I beat them 3+ fights = lose

-dont taunt post win
-dont complain
-stop pressing the fucking COIN button b/w matches.

Why do people bleed on their rag when people taunt post win?

I never understood that shit, its like that one time some guy on Kaillera got mad when I did a crawler assault on his dead strider in MVC online.

I hate it when people ask me if i’m downloading something in the background. No, I have a slow ass connection. Bare with it and take the ass whipping like a man. j/k I enjoy all types of people. Even the kids who crys mommy.

Joke or not, I like this guy already.

I remember once I was playing SFII Champion Edition with this guy named Rambo who cursed like none other

Not sure, but I like to taunt after the opponent’s dead since I know I won’t get hit.

He’s annoying and impatient.

They forget free play is on @_@

Dude, just do what you want…personally I don’t like people trying to make up fake reasons for why they are going to leave. I just tell people exactly what I’m thinking…I think “last one” is actually quite appropriate if you’re bored with your opponent, instead of making up things like “ggs, cya around” which is totally untruthful.

Hmm, I agree with Xor on that P.S.

Be polite and say “Well i’m going to head out” or something along those lines, instead of “Last one” because it is rather rude. It does say “You bore me, I am above you so it’s not worth the effort”. That’s not right. We kaillerians [lol], should try and be nice and civil, not moronic and rude. Less attitude and “i pwned u fag” and more “That was a gg man” along with some politeness/maturity.

But I’m not going out. Are you trying to make yourself feel better by wanting to hear a reason from them that isn’t negative, but is rather just a lie? You’re just deluding yourself then…really, all this fake GGs stuff is just resulting in an atmosphere where no one is truthful, and instead will seem like everyone is talking behind other people’s back (because they will say ggs to you, then post some shit in a forum). I think that’s worse than just saying things as they are.

Just look at the GGs thread…95% of the posts there are NOT sincere at all. It’s incredibly fake.

I half-agree with what you say. I am one of those people who dont say GG every ten seconds after a fight, I dont see the point and like you said, it’s incredibly fake and holds no weight. It is rather funny though when a person keeps beating you, they keep saying gg, but when you then start beating them a lot, they stfu lol. So yes, it’s fake and that needs to change right there.

When I say we should be more “Hey i’m going to head out man” instead of ‘last one’, we should be saying that with sincerity or truth. If you are playing someone, and you’re getting a lot of wins, but you dont wanna play the game anymore, you could just say that really but be polite and sincere about it. “I really don’t feel like playing ___ anymore, i’m going to make another game or join up somewhere else alright?” Explaining it instead of being outright cold can make it better for the person you’re playing, and in turn cause people to be more civil and polite online.

Now don’t get me wrong, i’m sure there will be one person who will be ANGRY. He will not like to lose and if he losing he’ll be angry at you. Personally…dont feed into his anger, tell him you disagree with what he’s saying, and if he does continue, you dont have to be harrassed anymore, just say gg and head out. I understand not everyone is going to be sincere and nice, but can’t we just start at one point and just maybe it will spread and we’ll have a decent fighting community.

I used to stick around with less experienced players to help improve their game. Most people would leave because they didn’t enjoy losing. If the situation were reversed I would look at it as a learning experience…

I make clear that I am a new player beforehand so that people can avoid me if they’re looking for a challenge and yet I still get abused for not being good occasionally. The worst two that I remember were called cem and DJ Gouki, and they weren’t even that good themselves. I hope they don’t act like that face to face at arcades. The fact that they still have the use of their arms means they don’t I guess.
Fortunately I’ve met quite many more nice people willing to help me learn.

Also, people who mash start/coin before 3s starts and/or between rounds are annoying. And others who join and quickly leave a game, multiple times now and then, meaning I have to restart MAME. What the fuck is that all about?

I didn’t think the phrase “last one” had such a rude connotation to it. I don’t try to be a dick when I’m playing someone, but I like to keep things short and simple so I don’t eat a combo when I’m trying to type something. Kind of hard keeping a friendly conversation going when both sides are trying to combo the other dude’s face off…

If I said something like “I’m bored of your no-skilled cumslurping fagass” then I could see why they would be upset, but that’s not my style.

no emil its not insincere its a matter of basic courtesy and the fact that one-sided games can still warrant “ggs” simply because the opponent was a nice guy to play with. it’s not all about skill at the game. of course i dont expect a shut-in like you to understand this.

So far, I haven’t had any problems on Kaillera or GGPO. Everyone seems friendly enough.

GGPO has a big problem with people acting like asshole. The “98” spam from the Asian population lags the servers, and it pisses people off, thus lighting a fire. There is also a lot of trash talking in the a3 room. A lot. I don’t go back to GGPO much now because a) I don’t like a3, and no one plays a2 anymore b) The KoF spam is annoying, and laggy c) I’m sick of trying to learn how to play KoF or a3 or something else, only to have the ill fated “You suck” come along and kick me in the teeth, along with the opponent leaving. People do not have a good amount of courtesy or respect on GGPO.

#srkkaillera on the other hand has been a good time for me, and I am glad I found out about it and how to play online through it.
