anyone get pissed at the anti-black/US/christian/etc pple that are out on kallera?
I’m azn, but today the dude “white and proud” started spoutin shit, and outa nowhere starts his “I’m white & white is power black pple are dumb look at the statistics” shit… omg I was offend for the black pple… gay fukin shit.
Yeah, I’ve met up with alot of those people, most of them being either anti-black or anti-gay. I AM an anti-christian, but for good reasons…but either way, I don’t spout anything about that unless there’s some debate going on.
Yeah, the whole character picking thing can be annoying. But then again, if the other player is actually decent, the games can be fun.
But i’m tired of playing x1000000000000000000 ken matches, where the other player is a total scrub. There’s only one guy on here who keeps picking Ken and is decent (don’t know your srk nick).
I always try and mix up my character usage between gief, a/x-chun, x-rolento, and others if it gets boring.
What’s REALLY getting annoying is the hackers. It’s died down from a few years back, but you still have the occasional idiot who joines, closes the game, or keeps joining/leaving causing tons of lag and game jamming. And it’s no point getting the protected kailleras because noone else has them anyway.
yeah anti anything is pretty much lame, i mean i know i cant change the way anyone thinks, but we’re here to play pocket fighter (shown to be the most popular game on kaillera) not to try and indoctrinate others to our way of thinking or spout stupid bigoted shit, nothing really annoys me as much as the chauvanism though as i am an ardent feminist 4 lief

Bout the “GG” comment,
Yeah, sometimes I feel that’s a way to rub in a victory, though I’m sure I’ve done it myself (I’ll try not to). I rmbr gettin murdered by Abrahm in SMB3 Battle Game, but I’d stil get a “Good Matches” or w/e after each set. But even if the matches are rather lopsided, I think it’s a good idea, and even polite, to say “GGS” if you both have been playin for a good while (or at least a “thx for playin”).
For individual matches, I personally think that the winner should be the won to say “GG” and not the loser. But that’s just how I play.

Had someone the other day on SFA3 who lost 10 matches in a row and didnt reply to any of my comments, which pissed me off.

I don’t know if somebody said this already, so ill go ahead and say it. I suck at fighting games, ALOT. Most (not all) people who play me will probably beat me, sometimes horibly. As such, dont start posting in that chatroom non-stop about how much someone sucks, as a player by the name of mustang started doing recently.
If you had no trouble beating that person, that’s fine, but don’t go around saying, especially for more than 10 posts, about how someone sucks.
As far as the 3-4 character thing goes…that’s not entirely fair. Not everyone CAN play as a lot of characters. I know a few people that only know how to play as 2 characters on SSF2T(Cammy and Chun) I don’t get on their case about it when I play as Vega, Ryu, Ken, Chun, Cammy, DeeJay, Bison, Blanka, and Fei Long.
I play to learn. You won’t hear me complaining. I watch what happens in the match, and then try to overcome it. I hear that’s rare. If you see that the person isn’t like that, then just make up an excuse to leave or something. Be nice about it. Don’t just say, “bye” and then boot them. That is REALLY rude. You know the saying, “Two wrongs don’t make a right.” That really is true. Just cause they’re rude, you don’t have to be.

the thing is if someone only plays one or 2 character, within 2-3 games you can already see patterns. by the fifth game (lag permitting) their tactics don’t even work anymore and you begin to win with ease. if they still don’t change the game becomes less of a challenge and u get bored. once that happens out comes the “ggs” or “last game”

Just don’t try the same thing over and over with a char. Normally the game leaves a lot of options:)

Yea, you have a lot of peeps that say that but I get anywhere from 3-5 players who just drop without saying anything after getting raped EVERY night. I think that’s pretty rude. I’d WELCOME an opponent who can rack up wins against me. It’s been so long since that’s happened.

Sounds like your router is blocking the UDP connection, I used to have the exact same problem as well.
The best advice I can give is check out this thread:
