If the game was still in development, this would be totally fine. I just can’t fathom that they could release a game (that while may play good), just looks so sloppy. I guess that’s what patches are for.
It would be nice to hear the stage music in actual matches outside of training. I don’t know why there isn’t an option to turn off character themes for matches, but it would be nice for them to add it. I can only stand the horns on Laura’s theme for so long…
The big hand/foot has always been there in SF though, since the beggining. It’s for hitboxes purposes and such. Kof isn’t like that because of running and short hopping giving normals more
Yes I’m really irritated by this. I enjoy all of the stage music, the character themes are mediocre and annoying IMO. Really, why the fuck can’t I listen to them.
You can listen to stage themes during battle lounge only (so far).
IMO it should play the Rashid theme no matter what you’re playing.
Rashidoooooooooooooooooo!
the character models look really great, except for the bugged out hair on some of them.
backgrounds are ugly as hell and need much more polish. and those background characters look and move even worse than sf4.
and i hate how the winning character floats over the KO’d opponent.
graphically the game looks rushed AF.
don’t forget the lip syncing issues in story mode, horrendous animation.
Happy to see many dudes noticing the low res stages and the odd shadow render on the characters. I hope Capcom takes note.
If only this game was 2D… looks like KoF13 reigns champion for best looking fighting game of all time.
The shadows seem abit grainy at times. Maybe its just my GFX?
It’s like that for just about everyone. At first, I thought it was a stylistic choice albeit an odd one, but some of the screens you guys are posting just really look bad.
Lip syncing is always horrible, save your self some trouble and switch the speaking language for the characters to japan, helps a ton. There’s way to many damn things for me to post about what’s wrong with this game
Yep, let’s bankrupt Capcom and kill any support we can get from them while we’re at it.
- Unique character stages. Stages tell you a little bit more about the character you play as and makes the world feel lived in and interesting.
- Hidden bosses. Like Street Fighter 2. Yes, it would be spoiled within hours and you could see it on youtube, but back in the day when you saw those four additional stars appear on the map. My head nearly exploded. Plus multiple unique boss characters adds to the challenge of the game.
- Original music. So sick of remixed tunes. So lazy.
There’s a lot I’d do to flesh out the series and make it more visually stunning and capture that old school Capcom 90’s un-f*ck-withable swag. If only I ruled the world and had gobs of money. :s
Mike Z on hair clipping.
That’s a lame excuse to not fix those dumb-looking clippings ASAP!
Chun-Li is so much better looking than in previous games. She looks amazing.
The hair clipping is already fixed. Go to 1:15 in this video below:

No clue wtf build that is though, but clearly you can see the clipping issue is fixed. It appears that the gravity bug on player 2 side is also fixed in that issue (you can see chun-li slide in for a second but you don’t see her slow mo tits flopping around).

That’s not the build we got at launch though. In other words, those were the issues they fixed last and will likely be fixed in the March patch with Alex (which again ties to Mike’s statement).
Yeah I know it’s not in the build we got, I’m just showing that it is fixed and we’ll be getting it at some point. Funny thing is that video was posted before the game launched so it was very misleading.
And what Mike-Z said isn’t gospel or anything, it’s common sense. Cosmetic issues are never as high priority as functional issues.
