Nash’s moonsault kick looks a little weird. the slash effect looks great but his legs look awkward and his crotch is sticking out in a weird way. it’s mostly noticeable when you end a round with it because of the slight slow down. very minor complaint. i agree with the others here that the UI is kinda boring too. it’s not too flashy and in the way of the characters like USF4 but it’s also… forgettable.
I figured it was just poor graphics shading on capcom’s part…just wanted to make sure I don’t have a defective game. Look at the vertical lines on Ryu’s bicep. I see it bad on this stage, Kanzuki estate and the training alpha mode.
I’m an overall fan of the in-game graphics, but I’d really like to see the hair get animated better. It clips quite a bit, which is especially noticeable on Laura.
China stage is indeed the only stage with transitions.
You would think that the London stage would transition into the bathroom, Karen’s stage would transition into the Ballroom, etc etc.
I would hope that we get these transitions later in the game’s lifecycle, but the list of fixes is so tall, I doubt it.
I’m really surprised that the people that complained about Ryu being too big (muscular) at the start of IVs life are relatively quiet this time around. Ryu and geif especially look like they shouldn’t be able to bend their arms. Geifs proportions in general just look weird.
They both look good, like straight out of a Capcom artwork imho
As now i can’t think a single char that look bad in SFV
Maybe i don’t agree with Cammy’s new sylicon tits (she was more unique as body type in SF4), but whatever, i like tits
But overall look great aside maybe some stage being uninspired (airbase also look one-gen-ago stuff, like bad for SF4 standards), and alt colors being total shit
Actually alt colors being total shit is probably the thing that most annoy me due the lack of color edit and that being a PS4 dude i can’t just mod decent color schemes in
But models look good, even the infamous vs screen dutch pedo ken, ingame he look good
Much of the animation is really good but some are still goofy, as goofy as Sakura’s back-throw in SF4 where her body moves in the wrong direction after hitting the opponent away and somersaulting to a landing.
Looks like it’s a graphical problem built in to the game. That’s what I’ve been seeing. Hope they fix this is subsequent patches. Apparently its an issue with: SSAO (Screen Space Ambient Occlusion) samples are too low, creates dot pattern artifacts in shaded areas.
I second all the posts saying the stage textures/models. The backgrounds for Rio, India, and Giefs stage are distractingly bad. Those textures are so low resolution it makes me want to puke and the models were made by someone in a community college intro to 3d graphic design course. This stuff is unacceptable.
Well yeah, overall the graphics ARE good. They may not be Crysis-level, but it’s a fighting game afterall, the visuals aren’t THE main thing in in although it’s important to be up to standards of whatever year your game is coming out in.
