Cosmetics: Small touches that you think will make the game better but won't affect gameplay

That sounds terrible
If I won 1 round, double KO the 2nd round, and they gave it to him randomly, that would be unfair
A double KO is exactly what it stands for
Both players’ life got depleted so both lost a round

I want Mika butt slap and Cammy crotch shot back

I think it would be sweet if in training mode you could do a Dummy recording, save it, and then upload it to a server where other players could then download it and access it in their training mode. It would be a nice way to share drills, or see how other people handle different set ups/situations.

@itzpookiie You misunderstood. If you win rd 1 and rd2 ends in double ko then you would win two rounds to 1. If you’re playing best of 3 and you win rd1 opponent wins rd2 and you get a double ko in rd3 that’s when the judges would come into play. That’s the way it was determined in 3rd strike. It’s a random little thing but something about it added a little extra excitement to that scenario.

Something else that irks me about sfv is the way that the characters overlap. One character’s model seems to be in the foreground and the other slightly behind it. It makes for a weird visual effect when you bring the two character models together. It’s like they’re not standing on the same plane.

It’s a shame because overall it’s a great looking game, but there are a bunch of little quirks that make it imperfect.

Ah I see
I wonder how they calculate that

From what I understand it’s based off of the same stats that determine your “grade”. You know that rank that 3S gives you at the end of every battle? If someone’s “grade” is higher than the other at the end of a Double KO on final round or a time over that’s tied on final round, judges vote who did better based off of offense, defense, and technique, which is determined based off of accuracy of your hits as well as how well you blocked/parried. Also, points above the players health. Someone correct me if I’m wrong though.

Stages are still unbelievably Low Res (not to mention the ugliness of the “poster edge” filter messing with everything). And there’s no reason for the npcs play their animation like in 10fps. All the other fighting games running in Unreal Engine have normal npcs, and probably with more polygons. :s

If a double KO happens it should just get reset.

Nigga this ain’t Street Fighter 1

Brush Ken’s teeth.

So…what you’re saying is if you lose the first round, then get a DKO the next round you should lose the match?

Yes. You got KO’d. Even if you KO’d the other guy you still got KO’d as well so he deserved the round just as much as you. You shouldn’t have lost the first round if that’s your concern.

But the other guy didn’t win either…

The motion blur when moving around really bugs the shit out of me. For PC players, you can turn it off by lowering the Post Processing to low. I’m not sure what else changes in post, but the motion blur is definitely a thing. I don’t like my characters becoming blobs of color when walking, and I’m glad it’s something that can be disabled.

I can’t wait for the final game, I want to see what options can be tweaked via the engine files. Oh, and the Linux version.

If China stage is the only interactable stage on day 1, I will be extremely disappointed. Not because I care about it that much, but because then I’ll know for sure that this game has been rushed.

Pretty sure they’ll be in there though. I think they are just holding them back so we have a few things we haven’t seen in the Beta.

It is rushed. Ono himself told that first SF5 ideas began appearing right after Super SFIV AE 2012 was finished and was intended to become the last update for the game, but the development went on to Ultra SFIV, which can only mean that the REAL SFV development began shorty after Ultra was finished. They basically created SFV alpha build in like 2-2.5 years. That’s DEFINITELY rushed for a fighting game, hence why there are so many borrowings from previous titles and ther franchises

We should have a poll or something over this. In the case of a double K.O., should it be Alpha style (no victories for either player, another round is played) or III style (both players get a victory).

LOOOL so little detail so much improvement

All ducth pedo Ken need to look better in that creepy vs image is

-whiter teeth
-slighty smaller eyes
-slighty shorter nose

That or even more simple, just change the pose/angle to make the VS image not suck.
It should be like a 5 minutes fix

I’d go with the former. Both players deserve the chance of a decisive round.

I’d love to see them bring back country flags.

Fix Cammy’s botched critical art animation.
