Metro City - Far right, that glass is so gonna break.
Forgotten Waterfall - Far right, the Illuminati tomb
India - Far right where the Elephant is. I feel we will break into Sim’s SF2 stage.
Four Kings - Not an extension, but I think we will get a ‘crumbling’ version of this stage.
Kanzuki estate - That ballroom on the far right. Also the far left there is a gate that maybe be broken into. A really cool idea would’ve been to have us fight on the rooftop of the estate (like Ryu’s SF2 stage) then we break into the Kanzuki estate we have now.
Not sure about the rest.
But I would like to see more ‘buses’ and ‘noodle bowl heads’ too.
If Rashid could make the hilariously cheesy “RA-SHI-DOOOOOOO” from his theme appear when he taunted that would basically be the most beautiful feature in the entire game.
I think I’ve said this before but every time I got a ko with Chun’s stomps in V (and also in 4), I very much want to do post ko air move a la champion edition. In that game the match didn’t end until you hit the ground, so sometimes you could kill with stomps, do wall jump and then whiff airstomp again or like whiffed air mk. -totally pointless but so satisfying.
I wish it was the bathroom (Birdie’s Alpha 2 stage) but Birdie’s stage concept art suggests that it is actually the tunnel at the far left that will be the stage extension.
I don’t think adding vomit or blood or just a slight increase of the violence scale would bring Street Fighter down to “MK level trash”. I feel that Capcom has always catered the SF franchise for people of ALL ages. They are afraid to push themselves out of their comfort zone. I think now would’ve been a perfect time to up the violence scale a little and bring back the grittiness of SF that we all come to love.
I mean think about it, you got 5-6 yr olds playing Call of Duty Black Ops III. Younger generations aren’t phased by the violence in video games anymore. So that’s why I think Capcom should’ve looked to raise the bar aesthetically.
Each generation of fans, our perception of violence changes. I too wishes capcom were just a little more bold.
Kids never have been phased, was and is still all in moms brain
When i was kid i used to laugh at MK fatalities and gallons of blood, it all looked so fake and comical
(still i considered it kinda trashy and inferior to SF2, lol as kid i had more classy tastes than many today adults XD)
Said that thing is artistically
increase visual violence/blood =/= raise the bar aesthetically
Raise the bar aesthetically mean increase the quality of the design, the consistence of the style, the artistic process deepness, the charisma
Previous SF, specially SF2, SFA, SF3 (and i say it as kinda hater of SF3 visual, at least the cast) had waaay more charisma and character than recent ones
Specially 2 and 3 had kinda mature touch, compared to these titles SF4/SFV are more just puppets beating each other.
Are a pretty water-dilute version of the SF cocktail
Blood was just very a small part of it
Society, nationality, sex, politics, artistic influences and so on
Everything got more layers as creative process
Just add blood does’nt make it more mature, if anything risk to look childish and empty
Also, don’t take it as an insult or personal attack, but clicking on the link in your sign i realized we have a VERY different idea of what is artistically “mature”
Ah, don’t worry about it dude. I’m not worried about being offended or what not. it’s all good. Just a discussion about whether adding blood and violence back into SF would make things better. Both of us have different opinions, but it’s all good.
Oh, when I think “Mature” I mean graphic stuff. Like you know the difference between PG-13 violence in movies v. R rated violence in movies? That’s what i define as mature.
I think if they made it cartoony enough it could work, just like in the win screens from III posted above, but with maybe a little less blood. The concept art for IV had some examples of a beat up Ken that looked pretty nice.
Purple is my fav colour in general. I’ll take a blue, a red, hell even a green. The yellowish colour is ugly looking. Or maybe do something like shadow moves from KI.
