Cosmetics: Small touches that you think will make the game better but won't affect gameplay

Because it has always been just “M. Bison”. "Mike " only ever applied to the Japanese version where it’s Balrog’s name there.

Actually in Alpha 3, he is referred to as Master Bison (capital M). It was the first and only SF game that acknowledged the M in Dictator’s overseas name.

I thought they were gonna stick with the idea of interactable background objects, but looks like they ditched it. They did the right thing.

That’s really what sold me the game. Win the round near the side? Noodlehead! New area! Cool!

There is no reason to believe interactable background objects were abandoned. In the Waterfall stage, they recently added birds flying (right side of the screen) whenever you smash into the corner. The floor in the Shadaloo lair glows whenever something smashes into it. There is likely a lot more of these as well as stage extensions that will be revealed in time. However, many of these extensions are likely connected to Story Mode so we may not see some of them outside of story mode.

For how i see it China Stage is a demo of what SFV stages are going to offer once we get the final version of the game

Maybe (probably) not all will have transitions, but it’s likely every slam KO against a side will trigger some mini-cutscene

Stage interactions have been part of Street Fighter from the beginning. It’s a non-issue for them to be part of the game.

Stage extensions are also completely fine if they are limited to knock outs only.

Obviously some stuff will be limited to story mode, but I’d hate if the China stage was the only stage with an extension available to us

Side-stages are awesome, but noodlehead is the dumbest thing to ever happen to this game. Bison or Nash with a noodlehead just do not mix!

I’m pretty sure that, considering stage extensions/alterations are just purely aesthetical (China stage shortens on the right side if you expand it into the restaurant, iirc), they’re just reserving all of them but the first one shown for the final game: there’s no need to include them in network/gameplay tests, those are aesthetical surprises better reserved for the release.

Is it just me or is the new “opening cinematic” to SF5 awful? It looks completely shitty…I know its just part of the cinematic. But the art style sucks. It looks like some graphic arts graduate student’s fuck around project.

The Vanilla SF4 intro was 1000x times better (minus the actual song for some). I hope they fix this shit. It’s a little hype killing.

I get what you mean about the art style. SF4’s cinematic was fucking brilliant (yes even the song). But what we saw is only a teaser of the actual cinematic, which like SF4 will likely be comprised of several smaller cinematics edited together. What I am trying to get at is let’s wait and see the whole thing.

The artstyle though was better and more inspired in the SF4’s cinematic. The new one is too modern, minimalist, and blocky for my taste.

The song for V starts out really cool and then just turns into some stupid shitty hella generic rock metaly crap.

At least for V it has a really old school part with Necalli where he rotates as we pan up and finish on his face. That’s cool. The rest is so bad and has absolutely no character. Where the fuck are they fighting? Some giant white room lol

Really weak because the V one starts and ends cool. Ryu looks awesome in the first bit just standing there with that nice little acoustic riff. Then it just goes full on shit. Then the ending little bit when the logo is appearing also sounds good. Just the middle, uuuuuuuuggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

It’s actually a Shadaloo base. You can tell from the flooring.

I like the style of the intro

Only thing will improve it is make it few (max 5) seconds longer to show some more characters

That’s not the actual intro though, it’s a teaser for the intro which will likely be much longer with possibly more characters.

I like the fact that Bison is fighting 3 people while everyone else is going 1v1.

A fun thing of the trailer is that Rashid vs Fang if is’nt random, give me the idea we may see Rashid’s friend in future as brainwashed/someway mutated character

Shadaloo kidnapped Rashid’s friend and Fang is a scientist (the highest ranked?) that does experiments there

It’s the small things: I want character specific interactions, it would be dumb as fuck for just the China stage to have a second portion, a much better intro, and they need to still tweak the graphics ( too much clipping : Birdie’s chain’s, Vega’s necklace)–a near final product should not have these flaws.
