Oh, never really bothered to learn the character specific ones when the all-around combos work all the same :xeye: But would you happen to have a list of those characters anyway?
MK tackle x2 can be done on:
Easy: Urien, Necro, Shotos, Chun, Q
Intermediate: Remy, Makoto, Elena
Hard: Yun, Yang, Ibuki, Dudley, Hugo
Impossible (literally): Alex, Oro
Edited
I’d put hugo and elena on intermediate if we go by your list.
Elena is really intermediate, not easy and not hard.
Hugo is really easy to tackle twice since you have a lot time to hit him with the roundhouse tackle and then do whatever you like but hitting him with 2 forward tackles can get a bit annoying. Still not as annoying as with oro. If there ever was a category between Intermediate and Hard on your list i’d put him there.
Dudley, however, i’d put on hard. He has a strange hitbox, sometimes it seems as if you have done everything CORRECT and the 2nd tackle still whiffs. Other times it hits. It sorta reminds me of the whole Alex-procedure.
Hugo, Elena, Dudley were on the “didn’t know where to put” list because I didn’t experiment with them. I always do tackle fireball tackle (well, not on Hugo), so I never get a chance to try out mk tackle x2 with these guys.
Interestingly enough, to get a mp headbutt after mk tackle x2 on Elena, you need to do it IMMEDIATELY. If you don’t wanna do that, you can just lp headbutt instead.
Dudley is indeed hard, but the least hardest out of the hards.
Hugo is really weird. Weird enough to be put as hard.
No no no. I agree with you. Tackle, sphere, tackle is better for the ones you named, i just tried to answear the question and not go OT.
For hugo you do, i guess… tackle cr.fp tackle, right?
what is the best option to do on dudley in the corner after the unblockable with the kneedrop?
Do you guys go for 2MK tackles or use EX? I believe using EX after unblockables is a bit of a waste due to damage scaling.
i2blue - tackle(short) > sphere(jab) > tackle(forward)
Btw emphy… Could you plz explain this to me…
Vs. Yun on midscreen i do the following…
cr.fierce > forward tackle > fierce Aegis > dash back > cr. fierce[whiff] > roundhouse knee drop > fierce headbutt > cr. short … AND NOW for the last part, the cr. fierce is ALWAYS blocked. I don’t understand what i do wrong as i do it all as fast as i can. :S
Since Fierce Aegis moves back, you have to push him into the Aegis with f.Forward, otherwise his guard won’t break.
eISH: what are you talking about? Seriously mate… If you don’t understand the setup, don’t comment it.
Do a MP headbutt instead of a fierce one.
i always do a light headbutt :0
But I would try a different way, because the only way to get them in the Aegis is using a light p/k, which are all low parryable, I once saw RX vs KO, RX did that setup, KO just parried low and threw RX… The only thing you can do is just throw Yun I guess…
I’ll try the other headbutts. I’m sure i’ve seen rx do it with fierce but it must have been my imagination.
OT: Doom you’re from Holland right? Will you attend at that tourney you guys have there? Would be fun to actually meet you!
For the whiff cr. fierce setup, you do mp headbutt.
I just do what RX does, which is cr. fierce tackle to fierce aegis, dash back, whiff cr. mk, rh knee drop, dash lp headbutt, then mix up UOH and cr. lk to set up the ping pong series. UOH also crosses up, even if they block. Sometimes it DOESN’T. Crazy!
You could also test if your opponent’s Yun/Yang is paying attention by doing cr. fierce tackle to fierce aegis, then dash rh knee drop. You can quickstand out of it, but it tests if they go for it after every hit instead of just giving up when they see the aegis. You can get a free mix-up from behind (which could mean the ping pong series) even if they quickstand IF you late cancel the tackle to aegis, but it seems inconsistent with me. Not recommended to test your opponents with this in tourney.
cr.fierce (2 hits) > forward tackle (1 hit) > fierce Aegis (3 hits is it?) > dash back > cr. fierce[whiff] > roundhouse knee drop (get close) > fierce headbutt (get over) > cr. short
I guess I really don’t understand the setup -_-; And I’d like to take back what I said about the f.forward, there isn’t really much time to break the guard and lift :xeye: I guess the “ping-pong” is the way to go. :shake:
You can break the guard with f.forward, but since the aegis only hits once or twice, you’re completely open after you do it, and will probably end up eating a throw, or super, or (fill in the blank)
Yeah, that’s why I said I wanted to take it back =P You might also want to try to use that delayed charge buffering trick where you charge down hit up and down and then kick so you get some extra time to charge the headbutt. :tup: If you’ve seen it done and are missing out on some time then this could probably help you out a bit T.T;
Strong headbutt was obviously the solution. Thx everyone.
haha no grahf i do live in Holland, but I am going to visit my relatives in Portugal so I cannot attend, but all the guys I play with Team 32nd will participate
I’d like to direct some questions towards Q’s tackle properties. As posted on the first page of this thread, there exists a video in which Q is juggled on 3, and 4 consecutive tackles. I’m fairly competant at 2, but I can’t see getting three. By fairly competant, I mean I can elbow -> tackle -> tackle in the corner with little difficulty. 3-4 however seems at a level above this though … Is the video for real?
DooM: What a shame
ereet: It is not fake. It is possible to tackle q 4 times if you want to. It is just hard and you don’t really need to do it. Really.
