Annoy with one shot arrows and Chris Gunfire assist into 3 shot arrows for chip damage
Get the hang of landing Legion arrows after Air throws, Shield Master L/M, and Aegis Counter. Nothing like making someone salty after Shield Master/Aegis Counter, Jump Legion L+H, Xfactor, Legion L+H to finish off a desperate opponent.
I’ve been trying to incorporate Shield Master into my game plan more and unless someone does a very blatant move (Vajra, Chris Magnum, Meteor Smash) I can’t really find a way to really use it more effectively. I was curious as to how you are using it Densuo other than making people salty

Some corrections.
After a wolvie dive kick for example.
Shield master hold the direction you want to jump in during the counter so that the INSTANT you see tasky jumps you’re inputting legion.
Shield master jump back and legion l+h 341,800 damage
With xfc 1 into another that was mashed I bagged 562,000, 696,800 with an xfc2
Aegis counter is easier to setup.
Aegis counter nuetral jump legion l+h xfactor1 air legion l+h
547,400. And up to738,800 off an xfc3
Also get used to legion m+h after airthrow or tiger knee-ing it after forward throw. Ditto with l+h after back throw.
I didnt check if this info was already discovered but yesterday while i was fooling around with Tasky, i discovered that you can now DHC out of his Aegis counter…
So if Tasky is not your anchor you can take advantage of this…
Granted Aegis counter sees action very rarely but Im sure this new stuff can lead up to COD combos… (counter of dead?)

I was pretty sure you could only DHC on the first active frame of Aegis Counter, which you could also do in Vanilla… It was in my combo video, even.
Well you can now DHC in any frame you want, you have the whole animation to do it…
2 importants notes are, if you DHC out of it at any time before the gunshot, the opponent will fly off just like in the old DHC trick way (spin “slowly”), if you DHC after the gunshot, the will fall to the groung pretty quickly (they will follow the normal animation).
That’s cool. I guess it was added in this new patch? Since it definitely wasn’t there before.

It’s cool, 'cause I already did that, just the Aegis Counter didn’t do any damage.
Although, since Aegis has so many hits, I’m not certain it’ll be more damage to let it play out.

Hey guys. I’m an MK player and I’m new to Marvel, just got UMvC3 for Xmas and i love it!
Anyway, I’ve decided i want Taskmaster on my team, PURELY because he looks like Skeletor (especially alt colour 6) and I’m having a bit of trouble with his BnB.
I’m finding it really difficult, almost impossible in fact, to get the bH,S to connect for the relaunch after cL,cM,H,swing,jM,jM,swing,jM,jM,jS.
Can anyone give me any tips for this? Is there an easier, more consistent alternative? I havent even been online yet, i cant! I’ve gotta get my BnB down first! lol
Ok, i just got it ONCE, but it deems completely impossible in the corner (which is where i find most combos end up in this game). Is it just me or can it indeed be done in the corner?
It’s somehow tricky timing, you can try using j.H instead of j.S before relaunch, that’s what I did for some time.
I played Taskmaster in vanilla and have recently been playing him quite a bit in ultimate but I have a few questions. Does his solo relaunch still work in the corner and after an air throw is there still a way to solo relaunch (well timed fully charged air H. arrows, shield skills,launch for both)? I was able to get both of these things to work in vanilla but can’t seem to get them now. I’m not sure if I’m rusty or if some properties have changed. Thanks
j.h arrows doesnt pop 'em up high enough anymore. you can still technically do it but it’s so tight that it’s impractical because it also requires a specific height that is very hard to tell whether you’ve done it or not.
in the right corner it’s easier to do but in the left it’s nigh impossible… just weird all around so it’s not recommended.

something cool to note: trish peakaboo assist is another assist that allows taskmaster to combo off his throws, shock sting, and lets him get full combos when they fall into it. it’s just such a good assist for him.
