as a police officer he has the responsibility to uphold the law but he also has the responsibility to use his training more effective with as little harm done to ANY civilian. She was in the wrong for obstruction, he was in the wrong for excessive force. My friends are riverside county sheriffs and my best friends ex military police and was corrections dept. They never condone fist strikes unless its a last resort to an endangered life which this was clearly not the case. What you srk simpletons must understand is to give someone infinite power,so comes infinite abuse. Last time i checked they are civil servants aka tax payer employees ,dont forget it.

Yes but HOW? No one’s saying anything towards HOW he could have done it better, or made it turn out any different than it had. I’m pretty much convinced no matter what he did, it would have went down the same way that it did. I did some back-skimming and I saw some people had alternative solutions but in the end the what if scenarios did very little change the outcome. The civilians were clearly getting increasingly hostile, at what point would it have been okay to feed them the knuckle sandwich? When they hit him first? Okay fine. From now on SRK, we only advocate police exacting physical violence on civilians equal but not greater than what has been exacted on them. In short, eye for an eye.

I think the police said something about a takedown manuever could have been performed, but then you risk injury in taking someone who’s resisting down to the concrete.
I don’t disagree with the cop’s actions, but the guy really should have either A) Just shoved her against the car and cuffed instead of going easy on her, letting the situation last longer then it should have, or B) Hit the gym more.

They have plenty of restraint training trust me ive rolled with my brother whos bjj trained and his whole class is cops. The punch would produce far more hostility than a arm lock into cuffs. If at anytime he felt that his life or health was in jeopardy ,he would have drawn his arms .

Imo the patrol man handle the situation better than the majority of people on this board would have. He only punched her once (probably to show her he meant business, and because he’s clearly frustrated) and then began restraining her immediately afterwards. And it looked like both women were verbally assaulting him as well. I also assume police men are trained to punch people when they feel they are being attacked, and technically she was attacking him.
From what Return of Shiki posted about these two girls, they’re not innocent school girls trying to mind their own business either. Bombs waiting to go off, and they did.
