Converter Compatibility Thread

Right on, how could I forget raphnet. I’m probably going to order one of these: http://raphnet.com/products/saturn_usb_adapter/index.php

Too bad no PSX to Saturn :frowning: Wonder if I ask if they could make one…

Hi there everyone, I wonder if anyone on here can help me.

I’m using the Mayflash adapter to make an xbox 360 pad work on a PS3.

Problem 1

All has been fine for two months but all of a sudden it seems not to work. Plug in adapter, get the red light on as normal but all 4 sectors on 360 pad flash continually but buttons still work, for how long I don’t know.

Problem 2

Adapter plugged in, red light as normal, xbox pad flashes once then shuts off.

Any help much appreciated.

How up-to-date is the thread’s OP? I was looking around for converter info and stumbled across a several-year-old thread claiming that the Sumoto PS2/PS3 converter no longer worked, so I just want to double-check so that I don’t waste my cash.

EDIT: Wow I can’t read, so the OP does mention the Sumoto still works, so never mind about that.

I just got that converter like 2 months ago, it doesn’t even work well the PS1 Digital Pad, it’s much worse than the Pelican and InPin.

does anyone know where to get a blazepro

Hey, I’m sorry if this has been asked already, but when I searched I didn’t find anything ._.

I’ve been wanting to get a Hitbox, and since I normally only play on the PS3 and PC, I was going to get the one that only works on those two platforms to save money (I’m poor and stuff T^T), but recently, I’ve been getting afraid of the idea of going to an event, and them only having 360 setups, and I’d end up not being able to use it. When I read the first posts, it didn’t say anything about Hitboxes, so I’m not sure if any of the converters work for it, and the link to the PS2/3>360 is broken.

Are 360 only events common at all? If so should I just wait an extra few weeks until I can afford the universal, or should I just get the PC/PS3 Hitbox and try to find some kind of converter/mod?

Tried looking through the thread but could find an answer.

What would people recommend more Xtokki or Mayflash for using a PS1 controller?

Thanks

There’s no technical direct comparison between the two. Even though I’ve tried the mayflash with all thumbs up, I’d recommend Xtokki because in more years there’s been no complain at all.

That assuming you’re into 360 and not ps3

Cheers man.

Yeah I’ll be using it for 360 and PC.

Anyone know if the Blaze Controller Converter Pro mentioned in the OP works well and hopefully lagless? It’s for a friend (I play stick) so I’m not exactly sure of the specifics. Laglessness is the most important part.

The xTokki’s problems with the L2/R2 buttons on the DualShock 2 are exclusive to that controller right? I’ve heard that PS1 DualShocks work without any issues but I just wanted to double check before investing in one.

Sony PS2 Dual Shock 2 game pads have “analog” shoulder buttons. The X tokki only reads hard presses on the L2 and R2. PS1 pads, sticks and some 3rd party PS2 pads are fine.

Has there been any real definitive testing on this when compared with the official one?

Any PC tests?

I have a question that I have been scouring the internet for. I checked the first page but I have seen that some of that stuff is no longer valid so the question is this.

I have this:
http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Adapter-XBOX360-PS3-PS2-USB/dp/B0089OBLDO/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8

And I wish to know if I can buy a sega saturn usb controller and use it to play on the xbox 360. I already know I can use the Sega Saturn USB on the PS3 with no problems but as you all know tournaments are on Xbox 360 and at my first major tournament this past Saturday my sf x tekken fightpad decided to die on me so I didn’t even get the chance to test myself against people outside my local tournament. It would be nice to know after I order a replacement that at least if it all goes to hell again I can pull out a spare.

Thanks.

Also I might as well add my other experience to share with you guys. I tried to use the Sega Saturn to USB convertor with the aforementioned Mayflash adaptor to use my beloved Sega Saturn controller on the Xbox 360 and that was a non-starter. Not a total loss though as I can use my Saturn pad to play USFIV on Steam.

@shaftalmasy
I don’t think that will work. But this may me up your ally. It allows you to use a sega saturn pad on 360. I have bought things from this guy before ( a saturn pad converted to a saturn ps2 pad) and his items are legit.

I picked up one of these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AATQ0Y to use with my Beatmania USKOC (for OSU!mania) and it feels like there’s considerable lag with it. Running the lag tester its showing me around 2ms of latency which seems reasonable, but I can’t seem to figure out why it feels laggy in game while the latency tester doesn’t show it.

I guess i’m just gonna have to make my own beatmania controller with my MC Cthulhu. Too bad the rectangular sanwa buttons are more than 10$ each :expressionless:

mas stick ps1/dc pcb works with etokki xbox360 converter??

can someone confirm plz(this is a 40 page thread…I didnt check every page lol)

I would say the answer is probably. MAS switched, to my knowledge, between a few different PCBs but overall the PS1/2 ones they used have, in my experience, shown excellent converter compatibility.

Hi all,

I stumbled upon this on DealExtreme:

Has anyone tried it ? How well/bad does it work ? Very interested to know since this would allow MC Cthulhu to work on PS4

I bought one and got it in the mail today. I’ll let people know if it works or not once I get the chance (Dont have a ps4 for myself yet)
I’m gonna be testing with PS1 & PS2 controllers, and daisy chain Saturn controller to PS2 to PS4.
