UPDATE: I plugged in my PS1 Digital PAD (Grey) from the original PSX PCB, and it works!!! WOW! I’m totally amazed at that! $9.99, and it works! No noticeable lag, and doesn’t seem to be dropping any inputs! I guess I can keep this thing after all!
Note: When I plugged in my original DS1 PSX (White controller) it went into that infinite home/game loop. Where it keeps switching back to the XMB and to the game.
oh yeah, I’m 2.7. Now I got an RMA from amazon about my TAC that’s going back (they pay for shipping). I got a HAIS coming in a couple of weeks, and I gotta see if I can get rid of this sumoto that I had for ONE DAY.
I keep meaning to buy one of these but they’re expensive-ish ($60) and I do a lot of padhacking as well. I have my stick wired up to a Mad Catz 360 pad so I haven’t had a lot of need for one. I’d be happy to hear people chime in with these.
I’m going to add some info to the OP about the different versions of the SFAC. There’s been a lot of good information coming out about these.
That one came up a couple of times in the big converter thread. There wasn’t enough info on it for me to do a write-up. I can’t recall offhand if it lagged.
I don’t understand why this hasn’t happened either. Lack of demand? XCM needs an arcade stick enthusiast like MarkMan on staff.
This thread is a huge help. Thanks a ton Kyle. I’m relatively new to the fight stick game, but I know I need a converter, so it looks like I’ll look into the InPin
^ Sumoto? I’m guessing they don’t care as long as they didn’t break the Pelican. Using a PS2 controller from Sony’s perspective probably amounts to a lost sale of a PS3 controller.
btw, the HVG2’s that i bought from fry’s, work PERFECTLY on my PSX Digital (I forgot what revision). But It wouldn’t work on PSX DS controller (infinite loop)
i have the pelican one and it wont work with my 15th anniversary SFAC will the ipin work does anyone actually know since it does say the pelican one works and i tested it and it didnt work
The converter Fry’s sold didn’t work with anything when we tested it… as for Sony only caring if the Pelican converter still works, it’s just as unlicensed, so I doubt it.
