Converter Compatibility Thread

Is there anywhere I can buy a new Blaze Controller Converter Pro (e.g. the version that doesn’t require a 360 pad) for my Namco? All of the stores I could find are sold out.

Do any of the PS2 to USB converters work well with the Saturn to PS2 Keio Converter, and works well on PC and PS3?

So, I’m an idiot. Does anyone have any info on this adapter?

I wanted to buy a BlazePro adapter for my friend, but didn’t realize that the 38.50 price in the OP link was in HKD and didnt notice the $5 price in USD so i decided to buy one on ebay. There seem to be two different adapters around the BlazePro’s price range, and they all had the same description in the auction page. I decided to go with the one that had a picture of the BlazePro, but they wound up sending me this one. There’s a switch on the side that goes from P3 to 360, so I’m assuming it can be used for both PS3 and 360? Is there any lag on it? I can’t test it right now because all my PS2 controllers are broken (lol rage). It was only $7 total so I won’t feel too bad if it winds up to be crap. I’ll just buy the one in the OP next time.

bump. anyone?

This thread is too damn long to find the help I need. Im gonna ask if it has been asked.

**My questions is why is it when I play on my ps3 at home using a pad, the game is smooth as fuck. I can do anything I want.
But when I go to a tourny with my pad controller and use it, I couldn’t do SQUAT!! I aint one to make excuses. I love losing but when I lose cuz of some BULLSHIT lag, Ima slap a bitch!

I don’t know why it’s like this. But one possibility is that when I use my pad at a tourny, the red light was flashing as I was using it. But it shouldn’t cause lag though. After trying to figure out the reason why, I said fuck it, ima ask on here. Any ideas guys?**

What pad were you using and what converters were being used?

This.
E3 2006: In-Depth with the PS3 Controller - PS3 News at IGN

I didn’t use any converter except the wire that is used for charging. I swear I wanted to throw the fucking pad at a wall.

I keep thinking it was the tv that was used or my controller. one of those two, not sure which.

uhhh wrong thread?

what problems were you having? it’s possible you just got nervous at the tourney and were messing up your inputs yourself.

anyone, cmon. someone has to have info on the converter i posted.

Ok, since you guys are completely on the edge of your seats waiting to see if this converter works, I was able to get a hold of a PS2 controller from my friend. Seems to work just as well as the Blazepro. No input lag. Even works on the PS3. My only gripe with it is that, while a PC will recognize it, the PC won’t recognize it as a 360 controller, which is annoying since most PC games nowadays only exclusively work with 360 game pads. With the Blazepro I was able to play any of those Games for Windows without needing to configure and use that 360 controller emulator.

That’s the same converter I got when searching for a blazepro on ebay. Is that why it doesn’t work with my p360 joysticks? It works fine with everything else but the p360 joysticks wont respond at all. The buttons do work though.

Lol, you fools are funny. For one, I don’t choke, 2 I don’t like making excuses. It is what it is. Even after I loss, I went to training mode and do the combos for my character, shit wouldn’t even come out… That right there tells me something is fucked up. The combos I do, I landed 100% of the time when i’m at home fyi.

BTW: snaaake718, i’ll add you on psn and we’ll duke it out ft5 if u’re down?

Thanks, pakistexican, this one looks pretty good. I think I’m going to pick one up after hearing your testimonial and seeing knXhtSGpbms"]a video from someone on SRK testing it with some Mag action in Mahvel. It seems like it works pretty well without lag and even works from 360->PS3 as well as PS2->PS3. That’s awesome. Also, in from dealextreme using the same adapter it appears near the end of the video that you can actually unplug the 360 controller afterward and have it still work fine. That would be amazing. Apparently the only issue is that it may lack guide functionality…? Even if it does, I guess both controllers can act as the same controller while connected so you could probably just use the guide button on the 360 controller.

Edit: Apparently the guide button is mapped to the analog button. Nice.

Just figured I’d update on my problem just in case anyone else might find the info useful. Anyway the blaze pro converter did not work with my p360 joystick, the buttons worked but I got no response from the joystick at all. The xconverter plus on the oter hand worked perfectly.

So basically if anyone has a p360 joystick and they want to use it on 360, get a Xconverter. Works perfectly for me and I cant feel any lag whatsoever.

ok lol

Did the latest PS3 firmware 3.60 update change anything?

Do iNPiN converters still work? Are Hais converters still broken since v3.50?

err… this converter real?

So some of you may have heard about the TEasy strike and variants for making your stick compatible with PS3 and 360.
Why do that if this is in existence?
$16.50 - XBox 360 to PS3 USB Wired Controller Adapter Converter (100CM-Cable) - Playstation3

Can anyone vouch for this or this TYPE of conversion?

this is actually a nice find; if it actually works that is…I might have to get this after I’m done building my custom fight stick (I’m almost finished with it and then I will get this and tell you if it really works)

It drops inputs.

It’s in the converter thread.

Not reliable. There IS a PS2/PS3 to 360 converter, but it doesn’t do PS3 sticks. It’s PS2 sticks or PS3 DS3s.
