Converter Compatibility Thread

Are you implying that the one you mention IS reliable? Care to link it?

Mergning this into the http://shoryuken.com/f177/converter-compatibility-thread-181187/.

Seriously, this is why people needs to read/search around first before making new threads.

This is a bootleg of an already ghetto converter. It may work with pads but it does not support sticks. It also drops inputs.

Thank you so much, we were having this exact same problem, and now I can feel better about placing an order for the Xconverter.

I’ve looked though a few pages of this thread and can’t seem to find what I’m looking for. So I apologize in advance.

My question, is there a converter that works with the ps3 cthulhu? I just assembling a stick and the converter I bought (Buy PS2/PS3 to xBox360 Controller converter PRO of Xbox 1 & 360 at Superufo.com, one of the biggest wholesaler / distributor of Video Game in Asia.) but it doesn’t work with it. I might be doing something wrong. This is probably a dumb question, but there are 61 pages in this thread and 101 in the cthulhu thread so I thought I’d give it a shot.

Edit: It’s obvious if you read my post, but if you don’t mention it people will point it out. I’m trying to convert the stick to 360.

Bump. I would like to remind everyone that I’m still looking through both threads (because If I don’t mention it, someone will complain).

I ordered the PS2 -> 360 Focalprice adapter and it came in after 2 1/2 weeks. Works great with my MC Cthulhu and the build feels okay (no creaking plastic or anything). It registers as an official 360 controller on the desktop. Mic port will also work on a desktop as it does with real 360 controllers.

This wasn’t the case on my adapter.

Anyone know where I can get one of these in the UK?

EDIT: I’m a dumbass, focalprice ship it to the UK for free.

Has anyone used the Dual Shooter PS2 to USB converter made by EMS? I was wondering if it is any good, especially for PS3.

OK, so I want to hook my old PS2 SF 15th pad up to play MVC3 on PS3 (yeah, I know). I figure it’s down to the InPin or the Pelican… First of all, does anybody know if this: Amazon.com: Pelican PS2/PS3 Adapter: Video Games is the Pelican I’m after? The picture doesn’t look right.

The pelican one looks like this

It’s hard to find this one. I got lucky and one for 9 bucks shipped on eBay.

Fifty bucks right now, though… yeesh. Maybe I’ll just bite the bullet and go with the InPin.

so… reading the first post and doing a search:

  • There is NO reliable ps3 to xbox converter for ps3 TE sticks?

Get a mc cthulu! You’ll pay a lot more but it’ll pretty much work on EVERY system with no input lag. (Yes I know the first post says it’s beyond the scope of the thread I just don’t get why people put up with 9999 converters with this thing is around).

This is basically still accurate since this thread is about converters. If someone wants to do a writeup on the most common methods for TE conversion (MC Cthulhu/Kitty/TEasy etc.) I’ll add it.

Upon thinking a bit more about it, converters are good for controllers and stuff that don’t have a MC Cthulhu option.

Alright, I got no idea where the heck the “Search in Thread” option is, so I’m throwing this question up. I apologize in advance if this has been already answered, but I’m in need of assistance.

I need a good PS2 Controller to USB converter that is NOT ONLY for fighting games. It needs to be able to do BOTH analog and digital inputs. Most PS2 to USB converters (for PS3s, which means they also work on the PC, such as the inPin) do the bare minimum to allow you to input only digital or analog inputs, not both.

I basically want Windows detecting the DPad as POV Hat Up/Down/Left/Right and both the left and right analog as individual analog axises (much like how a Logitech USB controller is detected). It needs to be compatible with Windows 7. I have a Super Dual Box Pro, which is absolutely awesome and highly configurable and compatible, but no matter how much fucking around I’m doing with the calibration in the driver menu the left analog has this annoying tendency to lean ever so slightly to the left. Most of the time most games have no problems with this, but a few PC games I play are VERY sensitive to this, and I get a feeling it’s either the fault of the converter or the PS2 controller. I have a spare sealed one I can test it against but I don’t want to bust it out if it’s the converter’s fault.

I was thinking of just getting a Super Dual Box 5 Pro from eBay since I’ve had good experience with these, but I’m wondernig if there’s anyone from SRK who makes a homebrew adapter or knows of preferably a Japanese, Korean, or Western brand that does these. I’ve looked everywhere for the Radio Shack PS2 converter and the Pelican one but I can’t find it.

Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know if there’s a PS2 -> 360 converter that allow you to actually use the plugged in wired 360-pad? I’m using a Xconverter 360 plus which does not work that way.

The reason I’m wondering is because I want to be able use a 360-headset with my PS2-stick.

Maybe there’s another way around this issue? I’m currently hooking up my headset to a separate wireless pad logged in to another account. That at least allows me to talk to one person through private chat. For some shitty reason only XBL gold accounts can join parties.

Well there is this now: http://www.etokki.com/Xtokki 360 NO WIRED 360 PAD NEEDED!!!

Seems eTokki discontinued the xConverters. SUCKS CAUSE I JUST BOUGHT 2 :frowning:

WINNING! That converter looks pretty much like the perfect thing, thanks for posting!
