Converter Compatibility Thread

It’s a Mayflash PS2/PS3/PC USB Fighting Stick.

If anyone has tested converters with my particular stick, your input is especially appreciated.

Can someone tell me if this is the sumoto converter mentioned in the first post? http://www.amazon.com/PS2-Playstation-Controller-Adapter-Converter-3/dp/B001QXWRX8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1262383276&sr=1-1

I’ve seen this one, and I’ve seen one that looks a bit different, so if anyone has this converter with a digital pcb can you comment?

I found a old converter I had called the Dragoncube. Its a PS2 to Xbox/Gamecube converter. It lags badly with a digital PS1 pcb.

Anyone have info on this converter for the PS2 -> PS3? Any lag?

Any info on EMS Classic Linker Plus? Any lag?

Thanks

This looks really damn neat. It lets you use the Classic controller on GameCube and via PC using a GameCube to USB converter.

Yhaa was wondering if lag was an issue with most games or something. Would love to pick them up

Does anyone know if there are any lag-free USB to GC/Wii converters in existence?

The 4 in 1 SNES/NES/N64/Genesis to GC/Wii adapter works with the Gen 6 Button Pad, but in 3 Button Mode…

How can you play SF2 SCE on the VC on the Wii if the Genesis Part recognize it only as a 3 Button Set-up??

Do all of these converters work with an MC cthulhu and the rj45 mod?

Like my PS2 rj45 cable with a converter for example?

I wonder why the 4 in 1 SNES/NES/N64/Genesis to GC/Wii adapter…on the Genesis Part only have 3 Button support

That’s alittle odd because SF2 SCE on the VC on the Wii has 6 Button, I don’t know how many 6 Button Games on the Genesis VC on the Wii, Any Info why??

Gen A = GC A
Gen B = GC B
Gen C = GC X
Gen Start = GC Start
Gen D-Pad = GC D-Pad

Sooo, couple of days later.

Anyone have an answer for me?

FORUM ERROR

Made this double for some reason.

I’m waiting for a answer also

Unfortunately, with the coding Toodles has right now for PlayStation 2 support on the Multi-Console Cthulu boards, no converters at the time are guaranteed to work with it. On some versions of firmware, we had limited success with some Dreamcast era converters like the Total Control Plus and the Innovation converter, but aside from that, nothing’s working at 100%. Not that it really matters though since a MC Cthulu with an RJ-45 mod definitely covers all the bases you’ll ever want for compatibility. Unless that is you’re looking to use your stick on some older consoles.

Sorry to say KnightWarrior, but I don’t know exactly how to address this one. I personally have not a clue since I never owned a Genesis. However, I think it’s probably better (although it’s a more roundabout way) to pick up a Sega Saturn controller, get a Saturn to PlayStation 1/2 converter from mojochan, then buy a PS1/2 to Gamecube converter. That way, you’d get access to all 6 buttons, though again, it’s a more roundabout way.

Will there be a converter for ps3 -> wii? I don’t own a ps2 stick and it would be great if they could provide ps3 to wii for tvc.

It’s very unlikely. We have yet to see any USB to (insert system of choice) converters.

Is there any PSX to GC converters that has button mapped like this

X - B
O - A
[] - Y
^ - X
L1 - L
R1 - R
Selete - Z
Start - Start

The converter I have…has it mapped as

X - B
O - A
[] - Y
^ - X
L1 - Z
R1 - Z
L2 - L
R2 - R
Selete nothing
Start - Start

I don’t know about that one, but get this: http://cgi.ebay.ca/PS2-to-PS3-Playstation-Controller-Adapter-USB-Converter_W0QQitemZ370315859166QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Accessories?hash=item56388b94de#ht_2320wt_1072

I have 2. They have no lag. I tested it using that PC app someone posted.

Ok, so how about any of the other USB cables?

I’ve got GCN XBOX the default one and a USB(ps3/pc) one.

Anyone??
