So it HAS to be a wired 360 controller for the Xconverter to work or can it be a 360 controller with a P&C kit?
wired only. no play and charge kit.
I updated the OP with Xconverter info. I also mentioned about the wired controller bypass and incompatibility of the Play & Charge. If there’s anything I missed let me know and I’ll edit.

thanks… I have a gamestop non CG PCB i never got around to use, ill throw that in a project box and use that.
Hmm…That is actually quite freaky. I’ve never heard of an inPin not working out of the box until now. I’d PM laugh about this matter. I don’t think he’ll give you a refund or accept returns, but I think that he’ll try to reimburse you somehow, probably with a new inPin. Sorry your inPin didn’t work man.
Nice! Glad to see the first post updated. I’ll have to edit my own post to make sure that people know that Rock Band microphones don’t work either.
I opened it up to see if there was any wires that were not soldered onto the board, but they were all good. There might be a break within the USB cable though… I don’t wanna rip it up just yet though. I’ll contact him then, or tell my brother to. Thanks anyways! =[
Damnit, I was going to test this myself. I had pretty low expectations though, haha.
Anytime man. Sorry to hear that your inPin ain’t working because other than weird manufacturing defects like this one, they’re quite good converters; very good build quality and a healthy cord length.
Oh, FunkyF, feel free to test! I don’t actually have any Rock Band or Guitar Hero gear myself. I was just going by what Truckasaurus and Gigazord (I think it was Gigazord at least) said earlier in this thread when they tested their own Rock Band mics. Currently, mics don’t work as bypass controllers, but I dunno; perhaps they erred in their tests? Anyways, more testing is considerably better than nothing, so if you can, please be sure to tell us your results as well!
Well, since the mic isn’t a regular controller per se, I don’t think it has the bypass chip required by any xbox 360 converter. When you use it in rock band, you still plug in another controller to browse through menus and such. So in short, I was not expecting much (and in tests it didn’t work for me either )
Anybody know how to distinguish between the different versions of the Innovation Dream converter 2? I’m looking for the one that is compatible with the MC Cthulhu PSX, I’ve got an Innovation converter that is incompatible with the the MC Cthulhu
^ Oh man, I hope mine is compatible. I’m still waiting on my MC Cthulhu from Bomberman.
If your innovation isn’t compatible, I have a Total control Plus (that does work for sure) for trade if you’re intrested :wgrin:
BUT! If it is compatible, maybe there’s something on there that says what version or something? I’ll look at mine and see if I find anything
I’ve tested the xcoverter and the blazepro converters with the MC Cthulhu PSX and they do work
Personally, I prefer the blockbuster case :smokin:
Good shit Kyle! I was wondering if you were gonna add the blazepro converter to the PS2->360 converter list as well?
Is it worth picking up versus the Xconverter? How much are they going for? I’ll try and get one when I have some extra cash.
Xconverter is much easier on the eyes than the Blazepro, but at the moment I haven’t noticed any difference between their functionality. You can find them on eBay for like $10 shipped. I’ll trade you mine for one of your 360 games :wgrin:
I actually had a similar experience with my inpin. However, mine was actually working at first until one day it stopped working while I was using it on GGPO a few months ago . Based on all the good reviews, though, it just seems to be a freak occurrence and is still a very good converter. Just chalk it up to some rare bad luck. I’m going to see if maybe its something simple that can be fixed, I’ll let you know if I can come up with anything.
Hi anyone having trouble with MAS stick with a Total Control Plus from Ps2 to Dc… lately…? Im going to buy one soon… I live in SoCal so I’m to the shop…
the xconverter works great. my only gripe with it is the lack of home button on my namco (or most ps2 sticks) since it’s the analog button
edit- blazepro not xconverter!
you are the man! i’d rep you up if i could.
so the xconverter has not external guide button? what about the blazepro?
Hi, I want to know if you can do this move with Akira (virtua fighter 4/5) with the xconverter 360 adapter.
Press K+G, release G after 1 frame, if you can do consistently that move, it?s a instant buy for me.
