The PSX function of the MC Cthulhu is compatible with the Blazepro!
I used an official Microsoft 360 Controller as the bypass/piggyback controller and it worked with no lag, no dropped inputs, although I only played for all of 5 minutes with it
Type of stick: PSX of an MC Cthulhu
Source/destination system: PSX to 360
Converter with link to place of purchase: eBay, China
Results: Works perfectly with MC Cthulhu. Correct button mappings and no detectable lag, used an official Microsoft 360 controller as the piggyback bypass controller
This thing is so clean looking, and it works too!
Like Missing Person posted, youāre gonna want to put the switch on the back to ā1ā. PSX on an MC Cthulhu IS COMPATIBLE with the joytron xconverter 360! No detectable lag, no dropped inputs (only playing like 2 matches), correct button mapping with switchable mapping from ā1ā to ā2ā via a switch on the back. I used an official microsoft 360 controller as the bypass/piggyback controller
Type of stick: PSX of an MC Cthulhu
Source/destination system: PSX to 360
Converter with link to place of purchase: eBay, Korea, Laugh, jinxmitchell
Results: Works perfectly with MC Cthulhu PSX. Correct button mappings and no detectable lag. Used an official microsoft 360 pad as the piggyback controller
Great stuff Truckasaurus! But this might turn out to be bad news for me; Seems like Rock Band instruments may turn out not to work as a bypass controller if your results turned out to be that your MC Cthulu worked fine when trying with an official Xbox 360 wired controller. :xeye:
Good, I have a TCP myself for whenever I need to satisfy my Project Justice and MvC1 fix. That said, you may want to note that the TCP should probably be set in arcade stick mode, otherwise if youāre using R2 as roundhouse, itās not going to be used
Yeah, iāll try one more time on wednesday with some rockband stuff: drums, guitar, and mic. I have the xconverter now, So iāll try again with the blazepro and for the first time with the xconverter, using rockband peripherals as the piggyback/bypass controllers. Hopefully itāll work this time
Right right, caveat emptor, make sure the switch is in the right position for the EMS TCP, I forget what the positions are, just keept flipping the switch from 1,2,3 until you get the right buttons mapping is what I do, but I only use it for joysticks so I just leave it the joystick position and forget about it. Gotta get that MVC1 fix! 4 Player Cross Fever MAYHEM! ! ! I love that game. :lovin:
Sorry for the lack of responses. Iāve been swamped with work for the past couple of weeks. Hopefully things will be settled by tomorrow. I also have a Xconverter 360 on the way and will update once its in.
Blazepro adapter did not work with Rock Band 1 drums or guitar for me. Also Mad Catz Retro controller did not work either. Official Xbox 360 wired controller does work with no noticeable lag as others have reported. However when I follow the provided instructions, it says to press the center button down for 2-3 secs to sync, but it doesnāt sync that way. On my initial test over the weekend, I simply plugged the official controller into the adapter and it synced and worked off the bat. Tonight when I tested, I had to directly plug the official controller into the console first to let it sync, and then unplug it, and then plug in the Blazepro and then plug in the official one into the adapter. Only then it would re-sync. Anyone else have this problem?
Just got my xconverter, and it is very sleek looking! Tested it with a HRAP 2 SA. Worked great on SF4, no noticeable lag. Now I just need to get another wired controller since my only wired xbox contoller is a joystick
Iāve been playing Mvc2 (PS3) with my T5 Hori Stick on this converter. Everything works fine, but at times I do find doing combos to be unresponsive such as the āHP xx Rocket Punch xx Hyper Sentinel Forceā combo.
Not sure if it's me or the converter, or maybe its the stick's fault. I hope someone can help me identify this converter and give me some insight with my problem.
I bought this converter a while back at Fryās Electronics for $6.99.
Has anybody had experience with the Classic Linker Plus from EMS? Itās a PS2 to Wii/GC adapter. I have access to that or the magic path 2 and Iām wondering which is better. The CLP is more expensive though.
I had the same problem last week, I thought I was going crazy so I didnāt say anything :looney:, but I can corroborate this, I tried using the Mad Catz Retro controller and it did not work. Gonna try the rockband stuff with the blazepro and the xconverter too.
For the blazepro I just connected everything to the blaze pro (360 controller, PS2 controller) and then I plug that into the 360, with everything connected, connecting it to the 360 last, and then I have to wait about a minute for syncing up. Havenāt had to do that second thing you mentioned
Iāve got the classic linker plus and the Mayflash PS2->GC converters. Classic linker plus has support for the Classic controller also, and a turbo function which I havenāt tried. Both work essentially the same, only tested them out briefly with PSX MC Cthulhu and a PSone DS Type H. I donāt have any experience with the Magic Path 2
I concur, go with the EMS TCP, or if you can find an Innovation Dream Connection II which is also good, but rare and pricey. But you canāt go wrong with the Total Control Plus
does anyone know which converter from ebay is good, im looking for a ps2 to ps3 usb converter, i got a t5 hori stick and those on the first page are kinda hard to find now, and more expensive
