Until told otherwise, I’d say it’s more than likely that it will. The wireless headset seems to sync up to the 360 not the control (used to own one) and It really shouldn’t matter so long as you have a control inserted.
Do usb controllers (like wheels and light guns) work with the PS2 to 360 converters as well?
pakistexican88x, sorry, but USB racing wheels and light guns do not work with these PlayStation 2 to Xbox 360 converters. I think PS2 racing wheels (assuming they actually plug into the PS2 port and not the
USB port) should work okay since I believe the Xconverter 360 can support them, but I doubt PS2 light guns (USB or not) are going to work simply because you need to use those weird GunCon sensors which only seem to work for PS2s. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
Anyone with an Xconverter know if you can access the dashboard by pressing start+select? Mine won’t be shipped out til Monday =(
Think someone said there’s a guide button on the actual converter. Haven’t heard of any button combinations though.
Yes it does it is horrible u can tell when i try to try jump and do combos. I can barely even cancel when i do c.fp with sentinel and AHVB is like almost impossible to do i have to press the two punch buttons twice for it to register and that is garbage as fuck. Thats why im trying to figure out if its on my end or if its my stick. I did just have a 360 cable added to it so i dont know if that is the problem or something else is. But When i play SF4 i dont see any slowdown at all. Doing a trijump in mvc2 looks soo slow and hard its just ridiculous. The 360 version is better by far
hey everyone i had a question about converting to usb to play on ggpo exclusively. i read the first page but i just wanted to be sure before i make the purchase!
i have a sfac (3.5V) and i was wondering, would the super joy box 3 work just fine? or should i go for the inPin instead (seems more expensive)?
thanks!
Ya I did read that, but I was hoping you could do it through some button combination. Would be nice to not have to get up to access the dashboard, but maybe I’m being too lazy :wgrin:
No, you can’t. There’s a “HOME” button on the XConverter that you have to press in order to access the dash.
Anyone know where I can pick up a Sumoto usb converter or something similar? I have an old MAS PS/DC combo stick which I believe is digital and could use an adapter for some ps3 marvel play =) Ebay search doesn’t bring up any results.
TIA
The analog button doesn’t act as the home button as well? (like on the blaze pro)
Ah, so problem solved, FunkyF
awesome! thanks for the information ryan, can’t wait till i get my converter
Haha, thanks for answering my question guys. I can’t wait to get mine!
So, is there still no solid confirmation on whether Guitar Hero/Rock Band gear will work with the BlazePro and the XConverter to bypass the security check? I have the Xplorer guitar and I was hoping it would work.
Not having fluency in Korean, but what it appears to be from the back of the box is this:
It sets it to different button configurations.
Setting #1 makes the configuration as following: (Left = Xbox, Right = PS)
A = X
B = Circle
X = Square
Y = Triangle
LB = L1
LT = L2
RB = R1
RT = R2
Setting #2:
A = Circle
B = Triangle
X = L1
Y = R1
LB = L2
LT = R2
RB = Square
RT = X
Hope that helps you.
my xconverter 360 came in about an hour ago, and after playing with it a bit warming up in sf2hd and running through mvc2 with a 3x ryu team, this thing is absolutely wonderful. i love it.
namco works flawlessly on it.
pakistexican88x, although Truckasaurus stated otherwise, your guitar controller should be able to bypass the security scheme so long as it’s a wired guitar. He originally tried to use the Xconverter 360 with a Multi-Console Cthulu board in PlayStation 2 mode which was probably the cause of it not working since recent batches of the MC Cthulu for some reason have had issues with PS2 to anything converters. Truckasaurus can come in and elaborate for me, but there shouldn’t be any fear of it not working. It’d be REALLY odd for it not to work since every other PSX to Xbox 360 converter on the market can use those to bypass security.
What up ya’ll! Been super busy, this week especially, but hey, who hasn’t? :looney: Anyway I’ve got some time right now, I’ve got a brand new wired up MC Cthulhu with a PSX cable, I’m gonna be testing it with the xconverter and the blazepro converter, using a madcatz 360 pad, official microsoft 360 pad, and a TE stick as bypass mechanisms to piggyback. Also gonna be testing the innovation dream connection II one more time with the MC Cthulhu PSX. Gimme about 20 min…
Oh, and my friend(s) “borrowed” my rockband shit, so I can’t test the guitars and stuff as piggyback bypass stuff right now, prolly next week, unless someone beats me to it.
I’ll post up some bad news first:
The PSX on the MC Cthulhu’s that I have tested are NOT COMPATIBLE with INNOVATION DREAM CONNECTION II! :sad:
These are MC Cthulhus I bought on May 15, 2009 if that makes a difference. I assembled two different MC Cthulhu’s and both did not work with the Innovation PSX->DC Converter.
Some good news though:
the Total Control Plus EMS PSX->DC Converters DO WORK with the MC Cthulhu PSX. Flawless, no lag, no oddball button mapping.
Sucks, hopefully I’m wrong and I did something wrong. I was really liking the Innovation converter too, that Saturn and Keyboard support was orgasmic for me, if only it was compatible with the MC Cthulhu. Still, the innovation is a good converter, don’t get me wrong
