Thanks to you too Ikagi Chan! You are just oozing with helpfulness at SRK. If I could rep you and drunkninja42 I would rep the shit out of you guys. I can’t wait til I get home and plug in my HSS-130 into the innovation converter, dirty nerd pron talk.
MakotoRocket, I can’t quite answer this question since I don’t have an XConverter 360 yet. But, somehow I doubt this will be the case. When I use my Mayflash Max Shooter to use my Hori Real Arcade Pro 2 SA on my Xbox 360, even if I have the passthrough Xbox 360 controller plugged in, it won’t recognize any additiona peripherals. That means headsets probably won’t work on the XConverter 360 either I assume. However, you can still plug in your headset to another X360 controller that you aren’t using as a passthrough controller and voice chat through that. I personally don’t do much chatting in-game though.
Haha, thanks for the compliment Truckasaurus. And nice work on owning an HSS-0130! I’ve always loved how they looked but for all intents and purposes, I would never find use for one even if I could get one. Oh well. I’m fine with my HRAP2SA and my Namco Arcade Stick thank you very much!
Oh nice! Go Korean technology baby! That’ll definitely make my Sony friends happy when they come over to play Halo 3! :lovin:
I just got an Innovation in the mail today also!
Been playing Shenmue with my Namco PS1 Stick!
SWEET! Did you get that one from the trading outlet? Shenmue with a Namco stick? haha, sure why not
Yup, from RemzRR.
Stick on Shenmue makes the fighting way more fun!
innovation with the saturn pad is flawless, it’s like they were meant to be! it’s funny because all i use for my dreamcast is either a saturn pad or namco stick
That’s how we roll, man. :smokin:
Just picked up a blazepro at my local shop, gonna test it tonight on an MC Cthulhu PSX and let you guys know what I come up with
awesome. i’m waiting on mine any day now
I’ve heard reports that you can disconnect the wired 360 controller after you sync the converter with the system. But I was wondering if you can still use that controller? I’m assuming not, because the converter would then have the wired controller registered already and won’t accept two of the same controller. But if it could, that would be awesome if you had two converters and only one 360 controller, or you could use a stick, and then use the stick after the converter sync.
Update on the blazepro so far, I didn’t have any wired 360 controllers, only rockband shit. Tried using a wired 360 rockband guitar as the 360 bypass controller but it wasn’t working. Maybe it’s only me, but that’s my input so far. I was using a MC Cthulhu PSX. I’ll probably get my hands a 360 wired controller to use later on tonight and do some more testing
Anybody else try using rockband guitar/drums or something similar as the piggy back controller and have the same/different result?
Long shot, but if someone have a Psx Blaze Twin Stick can they test it? Is the only stick i have and i like to use in the 360 too(i used in psx, xbox and pc)
I’ll test for you!
it works i tested, im still no convinced the blazepro handles multiple or many simultaneous button presses well, it does seem lagless those imo.
No mention of the brand, but I think its a Blazepro…will do the test for multiple/simultaneous inputs and see if my SFIV does the “moonwalk” afterwards
For the PSX to 360 converters, has anyone tried using a headset on the controller that was used to by-pass the security thing while it’s still plugged into the converter? Or even plugging it into the 360 after? I know that the controller doesnt work after it’s been used to by-pass, but is it just the inputs, or the head set jack as well?

I got my XConverter360 today from laugh for our upcoming review. I got to say… I’m quite impressed. He really has found a wonderful product yet again! Even the build quality of this little converter is excellent.
So far I have noticed absolutely no lag while playing SF2HD and Mvc2 for a few hours. This thing was made for arcade sticks as there are pictures of them on the instruction manual and on the box for them to be plugged into the XConverter 360.
Some things to note …
- I used a brand new Madcatz controller for $28 @ BB and it works perfectly with the converter.
- The converter only uses 1 USB slot on the 360. You plug in the wired 360 controller and the ps2 arcade stick into the converter. The converter then plugs into the 360.
- The PS2 arcade stick I have been using so far for the review is the Hori Real Arcade Pro 2: SA. If you’re interested, you can read my review of this particular arcade stick here.
To summarize:
Wired 360 Controller & PS2 Arcade Stick -> XConverter 360 -> XBOX 360

The XConverter360 has one “HOME” button on it, which is essentially the XBOX button, so you can sign into LIVE or another account with ease. It also has a switch to set it to “1” or “2” and by default it’s set to 2. I’m not sure exactly yet what the purpose of the switch is, as I’ll need a partial translation of the instruction booklet. At first I thought it was to set it for Player 1 or Player 2, but what about Players 3 or 4? There are 4 red LED’s on the unit itself which indicate if the converter/controller is set to Player 1, 2, 3, or 4.
-
My only complaint so far is that the USB cable for the converter is too short. My entertainment setup is elevated and the 360 unit is in the middle shelf. I have no real place to set the converter down, so I may need to buy some sticky velcro to stick it on top of the 360. The converter is too light to sit on the shelf or on the 360 by itself with 3 cables going in/out of it.
-
The wired 360 controller that you plug into the converter is NOT functional, but the green lights still show on the controller indicating if it’s set to Player 1, 2, etc.
-
I also tried today using the headset by plugging it into the wired 360 controller and playing a few games of MvC2 with the ps2 arcade stick. Unfortunately, it didn’t work, and the 360 acted as if no headset was plugged in (hearing the guy’s voice through the subwoofer). So at this time, the Live headset is not functional with the XConverter360. I’m going to try testing a few other ideas I have to maybe (but I doubt) get it to work though.
That’s it for now. Expect a full review up with lots more pictures soon!
P.S. I would have posted pictures of the actual unit, but TBH the battery on my camera died right at the first picture I wanted to take. I shall show you tomorrow (if others don’t beat me to it) and in the full review.
Please test…
nice preview of the xconverter. Looking forward to full review. Any problem with forward or backward + punch/kick buttons when you press them at the same time?
