Alright guys, things are pretty stale here in the NW forum (IMO) and I think we could use a bit more strat talk outside of live ranbat action.
Simple Premise:
Critique someone’s game (i.e strats and abilities) or request us to comment on you.
Simple Ececution:
If you are critiquing or wanting to be crituqued then please inclue: Game, Character(s), and Strat/Style/etc. If you are referring to someone then please make a point or recommendation (i.e Back that shit up!). If you are asking for judgement then be open to the words of your peers (i.e LISTEN! No need to be defensive all the time).

This tread is for CONSTRUCTIVE criticism! Don’t be a jerk is suggesting things and if you’re the one taking suggestions then don’t be a bitch. For real. The point is to learn about yourself through the observation of others. If you don’t 'ave anything to say that may help then shut your mouth! If you can’t take advice then don’t as for it!
Who should I be teaming up with Strider in MvC? He’s my best character but, if you’ve played me then you know that none of my teams 'ave assists that help one another. I generally play Strider, Magneto, Storm. Sometimes Ken is in there. I"m not aiming for a Top Tier team or anything but I"d like to know what to do to level the playing field, becuase, as it stands, my teams 'ave no “synergy”. Also, if you notice anything weak about the way I play then please tell me so I can work on it.

Would you say that Strider is your main? Would you want more Strider based team suggestions?? Doom is who people would mainly pair with Strider as I’m sure you know, but I’m curious, how does the team Strider/Sent/Commando sound to you? Deus was telling me about how Clockwork uses that team sometimes and how fierce it can be. Just wonderin if that team has ever ran across your mind. Team chemistry is a big thing in Marvel. Magneto and Storm don’t really complement Strider but I’ve heard of people experimenting with Storm/Strider/Doom. Back in the day Evan used to pick Strider/Storm/Tron as a mess around team and it could possibly have some potential.
As far as your play style, I just think you’re rough around the edges, with some practice that’ll be solved in no time. You just need to play more against some of the best people from this area. Seattle has produced a lot of good players. The most recent one probably being either Zach or Issariya and it’s not out of the question for you to be good in Marvel as well. I think in your case it’s just you finding a team that fits and just playing HELLA. It’ll be hard if you don’t use a top tier team, but possible. After all Zach runs Megaman/Cable/Tron and holds his own.
Yah, I’m most comfortable (and enjoy) playing Strider over anyone else. Doom IS the obvious choice. Problem is, out side of the assist, I can’t stan doom’s playstyle. I hate keep away (even though s’generally a good thing to do… Fuck you Cable). Tron sounds like a better choice, but I’d 'ave to work with her assist’s lack of range (but I’l try it out. Tron’s plenty of fun!). Sent is a possibility, I’m not down with the fact that he’s sooooo powerful but then again he’s another fun character, also I’ll 'ave the advantage of getting a solid, full-screen, assist. I’ll go out to GW or home and try to play those two more.
I"m definitely looking to game more with you guys (in MVC2) as I’ve always had a good time fighting Zach, Deez, and co. Plus, the MVC cab works fine ;]
The team i have grown comfortable with on the regular is Storm/Sent/Cable! but the team im best with is probably scrub! What do you think of me and marvel overall " i know im not great " but honest thoughts would be great!

I haven’t seen you play enough lately. You’ve kind of reinvented yourself over the past eight months in Marvel. You’re still maybe too … solid(?) with Cable - watch Row – he makes Cable look like a pixie flying around – I think you’d most want to work on mobility and blocking. SSCable is a great team that lets you be amazingly lazy. :tup:
I have ST in my garage right now, actually. It might be replaced with Third Strike in a while, but for now… ST.
Meh. I play a (now) decent Storm/Sent/Cable. But the Storm rushdowns are still giving me trouble with the projectile assist (S). Would the ground assist be better for her? Is the faster/slightly launching projectile assist more useful? Or is it only better for Magneto? (who I hate playing with a passion)
you’re goddam right you got raped… get that ugliness out of my face. donkey x cable = stop picking strider/tron. oh yeah, and wenzel + flying magnus/storm = too crazy!
Kuenai: I don’t know anybody who plays SSCable-rocket-punch … ? Drones to me gives you a much better dynamic… part of what’s “great” about SS-AA is that you can just run away until you have two meters, lightning attack XX lightning storm DHC HSF and it’s a dead character. Random and brutal and why Storm-Sent is pretty comparatively overpowered.
Pablo: Use the DHC to Cyclops more often. I’ve noticed before that you don’t use it much, but last night was a great case in point. Killing off the character is pretty important in Marvel. Plus it lets your character (Sent) recover.
Thanks! And I still need to utilize my assists better x_x. Though I think you should keep tron with megaman. Or just scrap that team altogether, though I think it’s really fun to play against ^_^. Stupid megaman keepaway…
I think you just need to play/practice more, I know you’ve got other obligations and stuff but that’s what would help you out. You’ve kinda played long enough to where you’re not starting from scratch. Better execution through practice, better strategies through experience.

Deezo: I must say in Marvel. Watch out for Storm you don’t like her when she get’s off lol! Work on your Sentinel defense…people rushing down on you suck! and yes you prove that that theory… Listen to more Chopped and Screwed! lol!
