I’m still gonna check it out. I’ll give Smokeless Constantine a try, but they have a hell of a hurdle to get over by removing his smoking habit, that bad habit has some pretty deep narrative threads for the character and the direction the story goes so yea…big hurdle.

the show doesnt have any redeeming qualities, it was so bad it was like watching a crap version of Charmed. JC has been doomed with the wrong actor plain and simple, and whoever writes his lines needs fired.
Not impressed at all by the pilot, with the scribing ability it sounds as if they will be doing the demon of the week thing. I won’t be watching when the full series airs unless SRK starts raving about it.
Doesn’t Sleepy Hollow have the exact same premise, plus a more interesting cast?

As someone who’s only seen the film even I can tell him smoking is integral to his personality and the “dead man walking” theme so it sucks to hear that, but I’m sure it’s a much bigger deal to all of you who actually read the comic.
You really have to accept is that comic book TV adaptations are made for the medium and there are some things that just don’t translate well for TV.

Ok, I peeped the pilot. I hope that editing was exclusive to it being the pilot because at times it was really bad. Thing had potential. It seems just…ok
