I’m thinking this would be a intro to the justice leauge dark movie given that it is his team. They could easily introduce all those characters to the show…just do it slowly of course.
I only worry about censorship…John is a bad mouth fucked up guy. I would have liked a HBO or AMC original instead.

Never read the comic but really liked the film, very underrated, I liked it’s low key, subtly creepy tone if the show has that it’ll be good. That being said don’t know how it can top Supernatural.
The source material is very occult based and creepy…assuming they to with the vertigo version. The new 52 John is a lot more"mainstream friendly"and more suited for DCU antics. He isn’t bad but I miss the more explicit aspects of his personality.

I haven’t read comics since like World War Hulk came out lol, blu ray discs, netflix, video games, cooking stuff, etc…I can’t afford every hobby at the moment so I cut graphic novels off, but as a huge fan of Moore and the nonchalant approach the Constantine film had I’ll check it out. I never liked Swamp Thing seems stupid but, I’m sure Moore will change my mind.
I also would recommend the new 52 swamp thing but only up till the end of scott snyder’s run.
Out of all the new 52 series it’s actually fairly decent I think. It does a good job explaining his powers and mythos and its also a extremely gory read.

Your impression’s pretty accurate. Swamp Thing really was a second-rate character until Moore got ahold of the book and did some weird British shit to it and made it good. He took it out of the realm of B-grade horror and made it into more of a dark fantasy. It’s not perfect–it’s not as meticulously constructed as, say, Watchmen–but it’s a lot more off the cuff and jam-packed with one great idea after another.
I never really understood the comic book series.
Will Keanu reprise his role? I remember quite liking that movie, even though the message at the end came out like an anti smoking ad.

The TV series will most likely try to closely follow the source material so they will need someone blonde, english and who can act like a big asshole.
