Yukata: Now i remember you. You insisted that King’s grabs were all broken with right punch. You were a bit confused as to why it wasnt working. Can i get past Jin’s 2,1s…sure i can. Yeh it was later that night and we were playing casually BUT we didnt play very much. If you recall, you killed my King ONCE …then i switched to Julia…and you barely got a hit off. That ended that and you left. I wouldnt say we traded games but then again…thats just my account of things. If there is a tourney in Raleigh and T4 is there, I might try and come out there. Afterall, up until like May of this year i used to LIVE in Raleigh. However, if its at an arcade, i mgiht think twice cuz the sticks there are just shit. I stopped playing in the mall (Glenwood) because of it. TTT is a bit of a stretch for me though i used to play all the time (won a tourney in that too a while back:)
I guess what im saying is, I know alot of those Raleigh kats and yeh there are some good people out there. Yes the tourney would have been different if even ONE of them showed up…simply because different peeps would be fighting different peeps. And that ALWAYS changes a tourney.
That TTT chick single? hmm…naw… I think the tourney was run ok though. Its up to the gamers to show the interest to come out and represent their games. If 2 peeps show up for MVC2 then that just shows that the community is either dying for whatever reason (maybe the game is imbalanced characterwise?) or people choose not to show. I think integra needed to advertise a bit more LOCALLY in conjunction with the online word of mouth that he used. If locals dont show, you are likely to have a weak tourney becuase the out of towners should likely make up a smaller faction of the gamers represented.
Like i said the shit was fun, maybe because I play third strike, but i still had a fun time. Sucks that I lost to both Yosuf and Jose but 4th is aight.Sucks that mvc2 got canceled. I was thinking about entering it. (if we got there on time)

3s seems to be more balanced. Tournament results show a group of characters winning, not just 1 or 2. It is in some ways more flexible, chaotic, random, that’s what makes it more fun. In the end, it’s the parrying. It allows the possibility of beating better footsies, better characters, heck better players. The other two are much more methodical.
Random is what makes it frustrating. I was talking with Lucious on the phone today about 3rd Strike and got a fucking head ache lol.
I would have played more T4 (I can’t play that shit worth a damn anyway) but I had my fill of it after playing one round lol. TTT is sooooo much better. Atleast to me, and many others for that matter.
T5 will hopefully be fun. Hopefully whatever arcade get’s it around here will actually take care of the shit.
