Confirmed patch

That is the thing though, I hate the motherfucker so much that it would be worth it for at least one chance to inflict pain on Honda.

I’d rather he go back to playing Street Fighter than balancing it.

Amen. Or let him go ‘single handedly’ rebalance something else.

Has anyone heard anything on the patch front? Where is our patch?!?! :arazz:

Capcom: Let’s officially announce a patch months after the game comes out and then never mention it again. Can’t have any of this HDR shit taking SF4’s thunder away!

Yeah, there’s something wrong with 'Hawks 360. I’m glad to finally see it’s not just me questioning myself. 'Gief’s SPD is flawless whereas 'Hawk’s is POS.

See the Hawk thread. I had a theory I posted today.

They need to have a Kicks x3 and Pucnh x3 button option.
I’m tired of charging TAP the old way.

Also, make it so i can watch other matches.
…they just need to copy GGPO all around.

Maybe the 3xK and 3xP were excluded to entice players to buy the stick? Doubtful, but it makes you wonder. Personally for me, I don’t see how anyone could play using the standard 360 pad, and I’m sure there are d-pad upgrade controllers, but IMO a 2d fighter is just meant to be played with an arcade stick. It’s more difficult to use someone like 'Rog, but it was the original design of the game. Just imagine all those old school Jap 'Rog players if they had a 3xK or 3xP option LOL.

This is a little off-topic (actually way off topic!) - but I’ve heard this is the primary reasoning for XBL not having GoldenEye64 released on Arcade. It would take away from Galo and Queers of War! It’s a shame too… a damn shame. GoldenEye64 is potentially the only game that has potential to lure me away from SF.

On that topic (briefly) I’ve played some old skool Goldeneye, and damn was it NOT FUN anymore. We unplugged the N64, and plugged in a megadrive and played SSF2 instead

On Topic:

I really want this patch now :frowning:

‘very, very soon’

This is the same thing we heard a month back. Release it already.

I don’t think it’s a horrible idea to wait a couple weeks after SFIV to release the patch. If they released it right after SFIV came out, it probably would go more unnoticed/buried under the SFIV hype. Perhaps by waiting to release it, they’ll help bring HDR more to the forefront.

P.S. I have no idea what I’m talking about.

Um… no. There’s a lot of love for that game.

I figured it’d take a while to get the patch right, but given the ““delays”” here I’d think that they must be busy dedicating those dev people to SF4. =\ Some day.

…they would look like me.
I’m a TAP charging miggifiggy, let me tell ya–
I routinely pull 7’s outta my ass like its nothing.
I would charge TAP shamelessly on HDr too, but even on stick its difficult to move while charging. Thas why i cant charge on HDr like i want.

yea, knowing Frapcom, they have the patch ready…just tweaking it, and releasing it at a time when more people will buy it.

Thanks for the heads up.

The patch is pretty much what I was expecting. I really didn’t expect them to address balance issues so I’m not dissapointed. My only problems with HDR were of the technical nature and it sounds like they fixed all of the big important bugs. I might just have to start playing HDR again

List of fixes!

  1. After a number of games, the HUD will be corrupt. Yellow lifebars will freeze, the round counter flags will all be on, and the names will show more than one name. (Both)
    2. Frequent disconnects during VS transition screen. Often caused by selecting START color of character. (Both)
    3. Title crashes if user has a large friends list and tries to access the friends list (PS3)
    4. Rating being set to “0” and from then on, rating remains at “0”. Once that patch goes live, we’ll reset all leaderboards/scoreboards. (Both)
    5. Vega sometimes causing desyncing, especially when using the fake wall dive. (Both).
    6. Lobby list containing full rooms instead of only rooms that users can enter. (Both).
    7. Zangief Super Motion not working on both sides and in both directions.
    8. During the start of the match, there is slight slowdown. This has been minimized as much as possible. (PS3).
    9. If connecting to a ranked match through the quick match function, it is best out of 3 rather than best out of 5. (Both)
  2. Sending messages via XMB during a game causes a freeze. (PS3)
  3. Players not added to “Players Met” list. (PS3)
  4. Analog and D-pad can accept input at the same time. (Both)
  5. Player stats not reporting correctly.

Yay! I’ll finally be able to learn Vega!

I can see a number of people being pissed about #4 though… Too bad they cant update the leader board while retaining the win/loss records. It’s probably that they don’t track who beat who and when. They probably just update the record and rating at the time you win or lose, so there’s no way to recover what the rating value should be now.

Wait wait wait, they fixed GIEFS super bug but not hawks? Great. More problems with hawks command throws please.
