He isn’t free to pressure, it’s just in general it’s dumb to block in this game and Abel is a character than can play the oki gambles.
BUT there’s one major thing going for Snake Eyez in that he has a ton of experience vs high level Abels and Keoma has none vs gief. So unless they’re playing a lot of matches beforehand (which I doubt) it will be hard for Keoma to adapt in 2-3 matches.
On the other hand Keoma is relatively unknown and the dude is a brainiac (I don’t think Strider is the same type) and as for right now he’s most definetly watching 50 hours footage of Snake Eyez and breaking down everything he can. He leveled up his game to world level, well past his entire country, solely through smart training and detecting mistakes. He’s gonna come out strong from that hyperbolic time chamber. Snake Eyez can’t do the same.
So can we expect SFV news from saturday? Or maybe during that 30 min opening ceremony?
He showed up to Evo and a few other events and didn’t make top 8. He is generally top 8 but a few outside top 8 appearances also. He hasn’t traveled as much but the few appearances he has had have been pretty variable. He does super well when he plays against other Japanese players. He doesn’t seem to have a super consistent record against some of the field though as UltraDavid put it sometimes he shows up and 10-0’s evo champions sooo … I’m not saying he is bad at all. He can take the whole thing, but just depends on his mindset that day. In a field this stacked where every round is like a top 8 round kinks in his armor make him vulnerable to matches players like Infiltration and Momochi have more on lock.
Bonchan’s been more consistent then Daigo, I’d be super surprised if Bonchan doesn’t make top 8, Daigo less so.
Daigo is gonna be random. At least in SFIV he’s just not the same player primed to win shit like he was in the first 2 years of the game. Could take it, could go home 0 and 2.
Do you really wanna bet on this match? I bet you a copy of SFV for the platform of your choosing, as long as you do the same for me lol. I got Snake on this one for sure.
I think it’ll be tougher for Snake Eyez than Strider, but I just can’t see Snake Eyez losing that match. He think it’s 5-5 (and I agree) but he’s super good at playing the matchup while the BR Giefs…suck, I did see a video of Keoma vs another Gief some days ago and even if the Gief sucked it was clear that Keoma knew what he was doing. It will not be free.
Yeah, he posts in the Gief forums from time to time, nice guy. Had really good results last year but fell off a bit this year. He himself would probably admit that he’s not as strong as Snake Eyez/Cantona/Itabashi/Hagejin but he’s definetly in the tier below them, beat Luffy in a MM when Luffy was taking everything he was entering into last year. If Keoma did beat him then he’s definetly a threat.
I think Valmaster has the most ungodly bracket. To make it to winner’s finals literally every match would be against a top 5 contender for the winner. Xian, Gamerbee, Nemo, and then Momochi. Fucking hell.
